Ride Royal Blue Part 2

Part 2 the crew riding Royal Blue. We rode about 150 miles over two days. We had a Honda Talon 1000 X4 Live valve, Can-am maverick Turbo R, Kawasaki Teryx 4 and Teryx 2. We saw waterfalls, caves, and Town Rock.

Awesome trails! As a Talon owner, would you say the first accessory was to add larger tires ( 32”)? I’m currently looking at the Rzr or the Talon for the family.

Can you remember what trail Town rock is on?

It’s off of trail 25 and is not marked on the map they give out. It you head down 25 until you hit the main road turn around and head back for a mile maybe and it will be an open spot on your right with a trail at the back. Head up the trail and follow the well traveled trail. You can miss it once you get on the trail.

@@cameronfitch9357 yeah, and I didn’t find them all. There’s a play around area with several challenging climbs and several lookouts that we found. See if you can download a map to your phone that has some of that extra stuff. I just looked and didn’t find the one my buddy found when we were up there. If I find it I will let you know what it’s called.

I’m a current Teryx4 owner but I’m considering a Talon 4x. I love my Teryx for the most part, but it’s very loud, a little too warm inside and too slow. I know the Talon would be a pretty big improvement in the speed department but how is the cab heat/noise?

Hey man. Thanks for reaching out. I’m not sure if you know but I started with a Teryx also. It was an awesome UTV but was hot, loud and rough riding. The Talon is way different! The noise and heat are a lot less and it rides so much smoother. I no longer feel like I’ve been in a fight after riding in the mountains for 10 hours in the Talon. Yeah it has lots more power and speed too. My family and I really like it. We have over 2000 miles on it now.

I ride in mostly southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia so I’m in very similar terrain to you guys. It’s nice to hear from someone with experience in both machines. I’m definitely leaning towards making the switch.

In the process of buying a talon x-4,just curious about the radiator protection from the mud,is it bad to to get clogged? Thanks, good video

I haven’t had any issues with that. It has angled deflectors that keep mud and debris out of the radiator. Thanks for watching!

How do I find planet rock at royal blue?? Going next week and would like to check it out

We call it town rock if that’s what you’re referring to. It’s off trail 25. The best way I know how to describe it’s location is- drive down 25 until you hit the main road. Turn around and head back up a trail on your right maybe a mile or so. It’s a big open spot with a unmarked trail head at the back if the open spot. It goes up almost immediately then flattens back out. It will take about 10-15 minutes to make it to the rocks from trail 25. Hope this helps you out and this is what you are looking for. Either way you should have a blast up there. We sure did.
