This video is from our trail ride on Poison Spider March 13th. The new Bronco, Wrangler 4XE and the Range Rover join us on the trail again in this video. I also had some guest cameramen help me film this day. We had a pretty good sized group on the trail this day. This video is a bit longer than usual as a result of trying to get more people included.

Owning my second Range Rover and having actually bashed my first one around a lot on trails lol, I love seeing others actually using them off road too! People can preach all they want about independent suspension and articulation. I had a great time and loved how gracefully they climb obstacles! All in maximum luxury lol

Honestly, given that the range rover will otherwise be far more comfortable, it's a winner.

I was really impressed with how well all three of these rigs did on this trail. The Range Rover did seem to have the most luxurious cab.

@@HTRNF67not only that but the Range Rover is much older than the other stock rigs. Having no lockers and only traction control. If only Land Rover would sell things that you can easily modify and put bigger tires on

@@ronaldrrootiii6040 having owned that model RRS for years, i can tell you first hand it has up to 2 diff locks, one center (standard) and one rear (optional)

@@joshxkerrigan yeah I figured it had a middle one making it standard four-wheel drive. I never count the center diff cuz that just locks it into regular four wheel drive but that's cool it has a rear I didn't know that generation had a rear. If only they made it so you can manually lock it. I'm not a big fan of the auto locking. My D2 just has traction control and Center locked so basically regular four-wheel drive and traction control but my lr3 doesn't have any Everything Is Awesome still

Really the Range Rover is pretty amazing for 5 reasons: 1. Its about a decade older than the Jeep and Bronco. 2. Its doesnt have axle diff locks like they both do. 3. Its on low pro tires and regardless of type they don't get much longer when you air them down. 4. Its tows the same of the Bronco and much more than the Jeep. 5. Its road handling is much better than both. Now if you're a dedicated off-roader the Jeep and the Bronco are better when the going gets tougher beyond the Land Rover's traction control aid and the lack of articulation that it has with fully independent air suspension. Still considering the five things I named (especially the first 1st and 2nd ones) it's pretty damn good and when going on things that the Jeep and Bronco mad look as if you need a Jeep or Bronco to do then this fancy little Range Rover walks right up it. Now imagine if you put aftermarket lockers and found a way to put much thicker rubber on the Range Rover...

i replied to another comment by you but the RRS has up to 2 diff locks, one center and one optionally in the rear. It was actually the Discovery 2 that controversially didn't have a diff lock (the Range Rover-based Disco 1 did) and only relied on traction control. That was changed in 2004MY Disco 2's, and all subsequent LR3 models (that the Sport is based on) all had center diff locks standard.

@@joshxkerrigan yeah actually the only Discovery 2 that didn't have it in the transfer case was the 2003 my 2002 had it already in the transfer case you just need to get the lever

@@joshxkerrigan yeah they better have a center lock because that would be ridiculous making it just all wheel drive with low range haha I know the Center lock isn't like a traditional transfer case but the end result is the same front and rear drive shafts locked together no big deal

These LR videos are always so funny. Like a hummer trying to do difficult trails. You can force it, but you probably shouldn’t.

Came for the 4XE footage, but I gotta appreciate how well those old XJ's do. About 20 years ago I could've gotten an Eddie Bauer edition super cheap. I shoulda went for it.

That is correct no lift and 33” tires on the 4XE. The Bronco was also stock with the Sasquatch package and 35” tires from the factory.
