I love Splendor. Very very very reliable bike. I have 2009 Model Hero Honda Splendor Plus which already completed 1,92,000 Kms and still Running very Strongly without any complaint. It still gives 63-65 kms of Mileage for 1 litre of petrol. I love it. Splendor is a Real Legend ❤️

It's got great roll on acceleration too. In city, Splendor can easily keep up with 150-160cc's. That's where other 100cc's dissapoint.

That Honda SuperCub derived horizontal 97.2cc engine is a little wonder. It's got great roll on acceleration, which makes overtaking easy. It's got power spread till near redline, so you can effortlessly cruise at even 70-80 kph, no stress, enabling you to keep up with 125's and 150's. It's 1st gear is like 4x4 low, it can climb the steepest of inclines with 3 people on board in 1st gear. After doing all this, the mileage never falls below 50kpl! That's was just about the engine, it's chassis is so strong-zero flex. Ride quality is beautiful. No wonder why Splendor is still the commuter king.

Splendor is originally a Honda product.......and so is Shine, but Splendor is so perfect that even Honda is unable to replicate it. Seems they have forgotten how they made Splendor 😂.....

Splendor engine was Given from Honda and body design where of hero but when they separated then hero hired many engineers team and started making their own engine but both brands are good both have good quality products

When they made splendor engine. They invested a lot in R&D because during that time 100 cc engines are the main segment. But when they designed hinda 100 cc engine i dont think the R&D budget was the same because now 100 cc engine bikes doesn't have any future probably in 5 years they will vanish. That's the difference.

A very true and honest review indeed. Having owned a Shine (125cc) in the past and currently a owner of a Splendor Plus, I feel that your review is very true. Honda boasts of superior engine but they are lagging in all other aspects, particularly the quality of customer service offered by their dealers and not trying to understand the expectations of Indian customers. In 2010 when I had booked my Shine, the person at the showroom tried to convince me by all possible means to go with a Honda Twister (which was stopped very soon). Luckily I did not take the decision of going with Twister. However the Twister engine continues to be used in subsequent Honda 110 cc models.

No doubt about it.. Splendor is the kING.. I own a shitty bajaj discover (2013) and a old splendor (2007)... In all aspects considering - Bangalore traffic and potholes and dust - Splendor clearly wins.. Only downside is I dont have a self start because at that time splendor+ only had kick start which is bit of a regret

During college days my friends and I rode the splendor plus to Goa from Mumbai. Absolute no nonsense, just filled up once in Panvel to save some cost (Bhukkadgiri) and then directly in Goa. Loved the splendor

Splender plus costs almost 15k-16k more than shine 100. So, no comparison makes sense as per such price difference. Shine is great according to price, and similarly the splender Plus.

I'd splendor plus back in 2016-17 but thin tyres were a huge issue also front suspension had started to leak, then i got Activa 4g - did long tour to Nashik trambekshwar by Activa and during corona time in two years on a row I'd to change the carburettor due not much of usage. Since last two years I've been hearing any new two wheeler in the market is no good due to the fuel injection system even the bike dealers says any new bike has 5 years, so finally my question to everyone what's the reality, which two wheeler is best long ride as well as city purposes also what's everyone's view on new Passion plus.... Splendor's gear box is disgusting for city rides yaar, because riders will keep on pushing to nutral even after getting in to nutral, because riders can't know whether it's reached the nutral or not. But I think Shane's gear box has nutral in between 1st and 2nd gear, which makes easy to shift nutral, and gear box is buttery smooth.

I would feel basis thesis of comparison of Splendor with Shine 100 is incorrect itself. Reason= Shine should have been compared to HF Deleuxe as for the price bracket and offerings are similar. Not sure why Splendor is made to come to spot again and again by all KZbin content creators or is it PR strategy by Honda

40-50 km/h is The HAPPIEST zone for Splendor. It will do that speed all day long. Also it can MAINTAIN 60-70 km/h on the highway without any complaint. After That The engine doesn't feel happy. But still it can do 80-95 km/h on the highway.

@@james_isaac if you do 70 km/h "CONTINUESLY" on the splendor , Than the mileage will drop "SLIGHTLY". But it's negligible . Still it will give 55 PLUS kms of Mileage. I am telling this because I am a owner of 2009 model Hero Honda Splendor Plus, Which already completed 1,92,000 kms , but still running very strongly without giving any problems. Believe me it's a very very reliable bike which is very easy to maintain. It's a real " WORK HORSE"🐎.
