@@motolexi Buying a super low mile (almost mint) Honda CRF250L off a coworker. Grew up riding dirt bikes and currently have the opportunity to get off road a lot and ride trails so I figured it will be a great first step back into riding!

I'm the same way with pulling up maps every day to work. I just like to know how traffic is and if i need to take an alternate route

it will rain for a week where I live so... riding to work is kinda out of the question, I don't feel comfortable in rain yet

rain is crappy to ride in and nerve wracking but on e you do it once you’ll feel better on how to handle it

I have those stealth mirrors on my Ninja 650, after a few months of doing wheelies and riding fast, they wore loose. Now they gradually drift away from whatever position I set them to. Frustrating. I tried tightening the screws and it doesn't help. Not sure what to do but at least they look cool. Anyway, cool bike! Ride safe!

I use maps as well to monitor traffic sometimes. Just generally not on the bike, lol. In the car I do. Hands free obviously. As of now I like to prefer to keep my phone not in my sights while riding to not get distracted by anything else. I have a Cardo so if anyone calls I do get to hear it and pick up. But the rest no.

monitoring traffic is my biggest thing 9/10 times if you’re stuck behind a car you won’t be able to see that traffic is slowing down

Valid point. Especially if it's a van in front or the box truck or the big long trucks. You know the lorry/semi's. Been on the road for 10+ years with a car and 2 with the bike now. And the experience I gained with driving definitely made it easier to predict what traffic is gonna do. Or to see if it comes to a stop. In case you guys don't know the positioning you have can make a difference in starting or predicting traffic. Not sure how it is in the US but we in Europe get that taught real soon. Trail distance with the person or well vehicle in front of you should be a around 2 seconds/a car length or two. Riding position to ride kinda close (a good foot or so) of the road markings on your left. That allows you see pass the traffic in front and look up ahead more. Which I guess is obvious you don't want to rear end one inmediately if they slam on the brakes. Also if the road is clear ahead you can pass the bigger vehicle somewhat blocking your vision and go in front of them. To then merge back after a generic car is in front and you can look pass or over to be able to see more easy whatever is going to happen up ahead. I guess a lot of you already know, but this is for the ones who don't. Stay safe ride safe!

I Want a 636 so bad waiting until next summer tho. So I can hone my skill on the 500. Also idk if you’ve topped this out yet but my top speed was 127 and weighed 150

i have a gopro hero 10 with a filter and then i use a little saramonic mini mic from best buy idk how it’s spelled im sorry but it’s like $30 USD. I also would like to upgrade to a 636 in the future :)
