Yeah maybe only a micrometer is suitable for testing the disc wear as you mentioned the edge doesn't wear so you can't get an accurate reading with a vernier caliper.

Pretty sure my 1989 Honda CB-1 had the same caliper. It's used on a huge variety of bike over a very long time.

Thanks for the vid, really helpful, and handy for my MT09 15 work coming up! Where did you get the diagrams in the folder? Was this via Yamaha part catalogue website, that you printed off yourself or was this purchased from another source? I have a Haynes workshop manual (I am from the UK), but it is a different layout and I see yours as more another reference to check. Thanks and ride safe!

Hi sir. Are the FJ09 at MT03 has the same Front Rotor Disc? My Tracer900 front wheel has been damaged beyond repair also the discs. I went to the Yamaha place and they said FJ09/Tracer900 Front Rotor Discs are not available but they told me. 2021-2023 MT03 or R3 Front Rotor Disc got the same size and same model with the FJ09

From my research the mt03 and R3 bikes have a different part number than the FJ09 front discs. You can get FJ09 discs in megazip.net though. I’ll link it down below. Best of luck!
