Great video. The haters complaining in the comments should probably take their bike to the dealer because I found things crystal clear.

good video, one note though - keep the camera shooting from the other side of the bike removing holding pins is not clear from the current position. Also what is the point of holding the brake when tighten the calipers? You forgot to say what is the benefit of this tip?

I leave the caliper bolts a little loose, spin the wheel and apply (hold) the brake lever to make sure the calipers are centered. - Van

Hey Brian thanks for the informative video! I'm wondering if I need to lift front up to perform the tightening procedure @ 10:45? Or can I just roll the bike a little while tapping on the brakes?

Love the way you hold the brake assy away from the camera or use your body to cover view during the actual disassembly and reassambly!

When opening the brake oil circuit, when you collect the pistons in, is there no risk of air entering?
@sportbiketrackgear3 жыл бұрын
No air should enter when you are forcing the fluid out. If any does enter all you have to do is bleed them which is super simple. - Van

Just put these on my fz09 and getting a crazy buzzing noise. Everything I read says these pads are loud with drilled rotors?
@sportbiketrackgear3 жыл бұрын
Super hard to diagnose over KZbin comments. I have installed a lot of pads over the years and never run across something like this. Important to not how you break them in after the install has everything to do with how well they perform and long they last. Wish I could be more helpful this platform is not the best tool for that. - Van

Is the bleeder bag necessary? If you haven't added any additional fluid to the reservoir then it won't spill over?
@sportbiketrackgear9 жыл бұрын
+MyRandomLife247 If you are bleeding the brakes using the bag is really these easiest and cleanest way of doing the job. Aside from a mityvac system or similar.
@gorillaau7 жыл бұрын
MyRandomLife247 The reason for the bag is also to help ensure that you don't introduce air into the brake calipers.
@kurtkarry8 жыл бұрын
how do you get the old fluid out of the bag...Should I just squeeze it out so I can use the bag later?
@sportbiketrackgear8 жыл бұрын
+Kurt Karry Probably be wise to if you are looking to recycle the fluid. If there is a place you can dispose of the entire bag and fluid that would likely be the cleanest way!
