Genuinely the most helpful video I’ve watched on Ride Wrap yet 😂 real advice from a real human not these robots who are like yeah it’s easy look *poof* done. She did an exceptional job as well. I’ve worked with PPF film on cars and it is NOT easy. So props to her. This video definitely gave me what I need to tackle my Norco though. You guys are the best!

Wow! Looks sharp and expertly done from what the video shows. Four questions... Did the 17.5 hours include the research? Now that Joanna has done it once, how much faster does she think she could do it a second time? I don't imagine it would but does it add much weight? What should you have said as you ended the video? Now don't go crashing and scratching that wrap!

1. Yes she said 16 hours of work plus 1.5 of researching 2. She doesn't think she'd be that much faster a 2nd time 3. It weights 50 grams according to their website 4. That's a wrap!

Took me 7 hours to do mine. Not a simple job in any way and mine has way more bubbles in detailed areas. The lube in the water is just not good enough. It sticks too early with all the lube supplied in half the recommended amount of water. Chain stays are a pig. I’m considering stabbing the the bubbles with a pin to let the air out. The main visible areas look good though. Detailed small areas just peal off like found the rear axle bolt, even with a hair drier.

I tried using a pin to let bubbles out on my bike (I just used 3M tape and not RideWrap) and it didn't work very well. Maybe it works better on RideWrap though, let me know!

i just did it on my norco fluid fs2, took me arround 10 hours, was going great until i got to the fork, i gave up and just slapped it on without being careful about how it would look. I would not be doing this again.

I'm getting a new bike. This video just reminded me to tell them, I'll pick up the frame only, to wrap it first, then bring it back, then they can build it up. The $pecialized Bike $hop charges 100 dollars an hour. I know I can do it but it will probably take 2-4 hours. The last shop that wrapped my other bike charged 100 bucks for the entire bike, forks, and cranks. When I went to pick it up, he said it took him 6 hours. I think he was exaggerating, but still, it probably took at least 4. I'd never never ride a new bike without this or Invis. I've crashed countless times, dumped and bailed the bike and not 1 rock has penetrated the wrap to the extent that it scratched the frame. It makes it super easy to clean when covered in wey or dry mud. The paint underneath the wrap is still brand spanking new.

Installing it cost like 300 cad before tax. Insane! the thing already cost 125 cad before tax and the labor to install is more expensive it'll set you back 500 cad with tax. I wonder if wrapping really does anything

Ride your bike. Don’t obsess over the paint. Ride wrap is akin to the plastic couch covers your grandmother used in the 70s.

​@@walterreyes3722 Totally agree! That happened on my last bike and it definitely seems way more vulnerable to 'annoying' scuffs and defects without some form of coverage. My new bike is getting a tailored Ridewrap kit, excited for the challenge and look forward to the peace of mind!! Cheers!

No offense to the good ride wrap product....but if you're just looking for something easy...get car vinyl wrap. you can spend $15 and get enough to cover a bike. Sure it isn't pre cut....but to do your stays and under the down tube...an hour or so.

Yeah did that on my Top Fuel. It's aluminum so I wasn't as concerned. Well actually I just bought 3M tape from Amazon and it's working great for those areas you mentioned but maybe the car stuff is even better. If you want to wrap absolutrly everything like RideWrap can do though then cutting it yourself would be a nightmare

None of this job is easy, if you just want protection you can just slam it down and accept the bubbles/creases/lifting edges. Vinyl is a misnomer, in transparent you get acrylic/Pvc/polycarb. Shiny/cheap/scratch resistant. The polycarb is helicopter tape that stops birds destroying blades/rotors.

I did my own in 2 hours without removing anything from the bike. same bike too! This sounds like someone not good at this kinda stuff. 17.5 hours!!! wow, pay someone at that point

Don't buy Ridewrap. It's overpriced and not worth your hard earned cash.
