It's funny how stupid people are, and what I mean is: many look that lighter rotor is better(cuz it cost a lot), but actually brakes work the way that Rotor absorbs energy by heating up and it's mass, yes - mass, directly related to the temperature they get. So if you put a 50gr rotor, it'll get burned twice faster than the 100gr. Here adds up a cooling, but it's a secondary value, not primary

I am so glad they added weight. I'm 90kg, and I destroyed the last generation Ultegra. Ive switched to MTB xtr Rt-900 and it did help a lot. I think the extra 10-20 gram saving isn't worth it with safety systems. Safety systems like disc rotors should compromise a bit to be more reliable. Thanks for the video.

A few days ago I've installed Galfer wave road rotors, replacing my MT800 rotors. They are 10g lighter at each size. After few rides with also new pads, they perform perfectly, maybe even a bit better. One big difference is, after heavy breaking when they become hot, they don't start ticking like with Shimano, when you need to wait for cooling down. For me 👍 Galfer rotors.

They are an absolute pain to set up, though. The pads tend to end up within a hairs width from the rotor, which makes centering a total nightmare. But I agree that they bite like crazy, and once they are properly centered they are of course dead silent.

I always hated the touchscreen garmins in the past but this has not given me any issues this far.
