Super great video! convinced me that the DIY route is the way to go and so far it’s been great. Pipe insulation ftw! Running my setup with tubes and just zip-ties to keep the ends together. Keep making awesome content boys!!!

Thanks for the feedback Ben! Yeah can't beat it for the price! This setup is almost a year in 2 bikes, and we never get a flat or dinged rim on the trail (cross fingers). My dad got a new bike and thinking if it is time to consider a commercial one, or just keep using this method.

5:40 You can cut HuckNorris into size you need, so that mgiht not be an issue, I don't know if it will match 24inch perfectly, might be too big or too small. who knows. But it's not a good insert for protection, as it has holes in it, and is thin.

Cush Core is much firmer than this. So for protection this does not even come close. I have Cush Core Pro. But the foam insulation probably will give a bit of volume reduction so will improve the ride. If it does not absorb the sealant, it might work ok, but won't give any impact protection. But Cush Core won't protect against everything, it will protect against smashing into a stair case, or rock while rolling, but won't protect against massive impacts from heights, like me jumping from a fountain over a man made stream in a city plaza, landing on a steel wall, it flat spotted a rim. But Cush Core is not marketed for impact protection, nor was that the main intent, but to improve suspension part of the tyre. But it works well for lower impacts. Cush Core is heavy some say, but for me it's featherlight, but I'm used to heavy stuff I guess.

Doesnt this soak the sealant? since it have a hole inside
@RidesWithJake2 ай бұрын
@@fishingoccasions1034 it does a bit, but didn’t have issues with punctures not sealing

Eins verstehe ich nicht, wie wird verhindert das Luft aus dem Ventilsitz an der Felge entweicht, doch nicht etwa mit dem Weißen zeug was da hineingeschüttet wurde

I now put the sealant AFTER seating the tyre on the bead. A bit of soapy water helps with seating the bead, because that alows the tyre to slide easily. After seating, I remove the valve and put sealant through the valve.

@@RidesWithJake Nah all good I think tubeless works well but if something's pushing up against it, then it compresses and doesn't uncompress. I'm goign tubeless now so i'm gonna get another one or something similar
