2018 gtl manual says the same thing. Maybe the design has changed from the model year of the bike in the video

Great help and I see with the pit bull jack I don't have to remove the front fender. Of course I had to invest $185 in the jack but it will pay for itself with my K and GS. Thanks again for the vid.
