Great video. I can confirm that Ridge now provides 2 seperate pieces; the elastic that holds the wallet together and the cash strap. Your instructions are still valid. They call it "Replacement Elastic -Cash Strap" on their website and that sounds like it's just one thing, but it's both.

Until I watched this I was about to just throw my ridge wallet away and get a new one. I was so frustrated. In the end - what did it for me was the clear video and step by step you covered. Especially starting with the metal plates (inside pieces first) then working outward. A shorter video I watched did each side first and confused the heck out of me. Thanks for saving my sanity :)

Well done. My inner plates wore out and started damaging the cards. Ridge sent me a new set plus the cash strap. The original strap was stitched together just like yours. The replacement cash strap was 2 separate pieces, but I was able to assemble it back using the separate straps. Thanks!

Great video, I 1st received my ridge wallet when it 1st came out 6-7 years ago, bought it when it was $60. purchased the money clip and an extra cash strap. So last night I took apart my wallet to clean it and notice that the elastic strap was 3/4's ripped, so I changed it cleaned it and used your video to put it all back. Thanks.

I’m also a ham radio operator my suggestion to you would be to ask him to fit some filters I just have to be artichoke. He will understand what this means and that should suppress the noise from his amateur radio signals. I’m also into ridge wallet snacks. The reason I am watching this video

If you’re ok with the money clip you won’t have elastic on the outer part of the wallet. The cash strap elastic and the original elastic bands work differently. Cash strap elastic definitely goes on the outer part.

Ok I just learned from watching this that you can put the metal plate back on the new cash strap. Dammit, I've gone days thinking the replacement straps just didn't come with that plate. I got so excited that I paused your video to run and do this and sure enough I poked some holes in the new strap. Nothing terrible though and it won't hurt it but I should have kept watching to see how you did it first haha.

Great video. The carbon fiber AirTag hold literally destroyed my AirTag, as it was unable to come out in one piece. Terrible design and an obvious flaw. This video helped me reassemble the wallet sans AirTag holder.

Thanks very much! Here's the info according to Ridge: Wallets: Ridge warrants that all Wallets are free from manufacturing defects and will function as intended for the life of the product. Your Lifetime Warranty will include Replacement Parts in the event of failure or loss of Elastic, Screws, Inner Plates, and/or Money Clip. This warranty does not cover lost, stolen, or disposed of wallets; scratches, dents, discoloration from wear and tear, chips and/or scrapes on the Outer Plates; damages caused by accident, abuse, neglect, shock; improper use or storage of the product; unauthorized modifications or repairs. My interpretation is that they would cover an elastic strap if it failed. I don't know if they would send you a new one if it just got beat up and frayed.

i accidently bought the strap airtag when i have a money clip wallet. is there any way to install the cash strap airtag to the wallet?

Hey, so I don’t have any experience with the air tag accessories. But typically I’ve seen people can only do one or the other (cash strap or money clip). That’s what the air tag strap looks like to me from the pics. Probably meant to replace the clip altogether. Maybe someone else can comment and clear that up for both of us!

Just got the new carbon fiber 3k and on both sides 2 of the screws just won't budge, this led to 2 screws on one side being stripped. Can i fix this or do i just send it back?

Back in the day they sent extra screws and the bit driver with a new wallet. Not sure if they do now? I might send that one back and ask for a replacement.

You can save that strap and make it like new using an electric lint remover

I had a cash strap on mine from the factory and I got rid of it because it became a real pain in the rear. The plate kept coming off. I had it less than a year and switched to the money clip.

Thanks! Yeah, the entry cost is a thing for sure. I do think the quality of Ridge is pretty high. Some of the knock-offs I’ve seen have been pretty shady looking but others look great! One thing to remember is Ridge kind of came on the scene early and have been around forever. So a lot of other companies are jumping in (which I think is good!) I have met 3-4 people with clones that love them! Good to have choices! Also: I’ll be giving an Ridge and an Axwell wallet away in two different GAW’s when my subs reach 1000 so if you want a shot at a free one keep your eyes open 😎👍
