Appreciate the tutorial! When I got the ridge wallet I first thought I would prefer the clip. After using it for a while, I think the elastic band will work better since I use cash 95% of the time rather than debit cards. Again, thank you!

I struggled putting the plate on too. I was scared I was about to punch a hole in the elastic.

Hey! I just ordered a titanium Ridge wallet, with a cash strap. I got the cash strap on accident, and I was planning on replacing it with a money clip separately. However when I hear people like you saying that you like the cash strap better than the money clip, I’m beginning to think maybe I’ll stick with the strap. Why do you like the strap better?

Well, both are great options really, and you could grab either one independently and install and try out. Not too pricey (though the wallet is hah). The clip is really strong and if you have a ton of ones doesn't seem like it holds a lot. the cash strap is just more flexible and holds more, but doesn't feel quite as tough (the elastic will def wear out eventually I assume). So, pros and cons.

If you're Canadian, buy the money clip. Canadian money is much smoother than American cash and it slides around in the cash strap.

@@BUCKSGEARBOX I found that out just now since I received my Ridge today and tried it out with Canadian and US cash. I’ve submitted a warranty claim with them because 5 of the screws seem like they’re welded in and won’t come out and they’re now stripped. Everything else about the wallet is great.

Ooof that’s weird about the screws. Wonder if they are in there due to loctite?? I’d be really surprised if they don’t take care of you on that. Really odd

@@BUCKSGEARBOX There was no blue or red residue, so definitely no loctite. Just, really stuck. I did reach out to Ridge and sent pictures as requested. The pictures, of course, showed the wallet was in great shape, and frankly my iPhone couldn't zoom in clearly enough to show the really tiny screws being stripped, but Ridge apologized and are sending me a brand new wallet with money clip attached. They never asked me to return the one I have which I would have been willing to do. Really really excellent customer support from Ridge. Kudos to them.

Ugh, I wish those WOKE ads could be turned off. lol. I switched to the Dango wallets. I stopped using my Ridge ever since. If you haven't tried one you should, as it seems you love cool gear.
