If you want an out of the box solution, then yes. You could put a rifle together that's just as good for less.

I would say some controls do make a performance difference, on the flip side anyone can train to near perfection on a mil spec ar

Are the bolts headspaced with that chamber too, I assume?

@@thirdmonkeyent all ARs are going to come with a headspace bolt, but these guns have a tighter acceptable range of tolerance for headspace than most

@@2AF_com right. But don't some barrels/ARs come with a bolt specific to that chamber sometimes? That are cut with that barrel and headspaced for that barrel in that rifle? I wonder if it's a true 5.56 chamber or a 223 Wylde.

@@thirdmonkeyent​​⁠these chambers are 223 Wylde. Bolts have an acceptable range to be considered in spec. The videos the Ridgeline has released about the gun indicate they hold their spec to a tighter than standard tolerance. I haven’t heard about bolts and chambers being cut or made together.
