Just my sons belt knife today in the mail. He’s a true outdoorsman and he’s going love this for his 40th birthday. I want one now. Lol

Love the Blue Ridge Hunter. As with many, I really like the tribal maple. However never having handled one in person prior to purchase, I couldn't bring myself to buying a maple handle when I know it would be covered in blood. It would be great to see Winkler do a Nessmuk (not so exaggerated, just a wider, more pronounced belly) for hunters who keep the hide for brain tanning.

Nice, thanks for showing the variants I had only seen the Case variants prior. Also looks like a great shop.

I love the attention to winkler. It would be nice to get more video of the side profiles and maybe more in your hand time to get a little better perspective as to the size and shape of each knife. Maybe even compare them to some other well known knives. I was surprised at how big some of these knives were when I finally found some for sale in person. I also like the drop point a lot better than the large belly trailing point. Thanks guys keep the vids coming.

I EDC a WINKLER belt knife black canvas laminate, or a WINKLER UTILITY CRUSHER with sculpted maple,and they are my favorite blades, and I use them a lot , and sharpen them with a WORKSHARP precision adjust. The only other blades I have are AWESOME TOOR knives that I like a lot.

AWESOME! My favorite knife , and my EDC is a black WINKLER belt knife. Daniel WINKLER does a magical heat treat to his blades , and I get it razor sharp. Scout carry on my other strong side for years!!! I absolutely love this knife, and I use it all the time. Thank you WINKLER knives!

Yeah I can’t get over paying hundreds for 80crv2 maybe if it was 3v or elmax then maybe for the Q.C. And American made but there is equal or better knives for less money. Like the Bradford 5.5 in elmax.
@boomhauer84842 жыл бұрын
I own multiple Bradfords and winkler and I have to say they aren’t even comparable… winkler is just better imo

@@boomhauer8484 You're damn right they aren't comparable, and if Winkler upgraded their steel they'd be on the right side of that failed comparison.

V.Neeley of Lile knives finished my knife last November. $2000.00. It's not about the money. It's about having a knife made by hand by a craftsman. I'm looking at a tomahawk by winkler. This is what I do with my SS money. I spend every penny of it on the things I've always wanted.
@Swearengen1980 Жыл бұрын
@@CNYKnifeNerd Look at that, a self proclaimed knife steel snob who's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. Winklers are work horses, meant to be used and abused. Elmax is simply not tough enough to handle the work load you can put on Winkler's 80crv2 and the Winkler is notable easier to sharpen as well. There's a reason you don't see field, survival, hunting, or bushcraft knives very often in super steels.
@jamessampson9642 жыл бұрын
Buddy you might be doing pretty good on the talkin part but you need to practice house to display the knife because the way you hold it and do it you can't even really look at it good you don't show a side profile good you try to hold it flat in hand all the time

@doejon94242 жыл бұрын
They needs to get off the high horse & shave off $100 for these knives. They are all Steak knife sized in 80crV2 blade stock. Way over priced for materials rendered. Yes it's a decent steel. However, it's*Not* a $300+ steel. It's a tough, run of the mill - tool steel.
