Imagine trying to show off that marshall amp word to someone, and it turns into a spinal tap sketch, "this piece of wood is history. It was inside one of the most classic guitar amps ever built. There's nothing like it." "So where is the rest of it?" "I could only afford the wood..."

About those 5150 strings when i used them they had the frankenstein stripes like his guitar on the package. all they are is custom gauge EB "rock and roll" pure nickle wounds. you can get them for $6 a pack in 9-42 to this day. the 5150 set had a .015 plain G string in place of the 0.16 and 0.40 low E instead of 0.42. those are the only differences.
@DeadHandBlues

I thought $50 per pack wasn’t all that ridiculous as a collectable item or to add in as case candy with an 90’s EVH guitar.

@@DeadHandBlues Well considering some paid $25K for a ash strat you could make yourself for under $1500 i guess it depends on who's the buyer is? I personally would never pay $50 for a pack of strings even if they were from eddie's or jimi's guitar case.

The second guitar that's all chopped up looks like the guy is trying to bypass some kind of local/federal law or tax treaty in order to sell guitar parts. In this case it looks like he's selling pickups. It makes zero sense if he's selling a guitar, but it becomes feasible if he's selling parts.

I wanna say the 5150 strings came out in 1990. The thing is, EVH collectors can be insane and this dude will probably get $300 for them. Those strings are from the late 90’s up to about 2002ish. Post EVH and Ernie Ball. When Ed was with EB, the packaging had the striped pattern on it and they changed it to that design after he left in September of 95.
