Great video. Here's a suggestion for keeping the freight cars on the track. Try attaching some stick on tire weights to the underside of the cars to make them a little heavier. It worked great for me.

That’s a great idea ! Thank you !

@@GGSRailways Two oz. Added to each car should do the trick.

Have a little bit of everything but I have a special place in my heart for Marx . When I was 11 I mowed a ladies yard for an entire mowing season in trade for a rusty Marx and some equally rusty cars she had in a dilapidated old barn. She probably thought I was dumb but to this day it is one of my favorite Marx sets with a ton of memories attached to it. I did a not great video on it once upon a time but it deserves a better one. Thanks for prodding my imagination

I love tin toys, I absolutely love Marx tin trains. The difference between Lionel and Marx can be summed up in this statement: Lionel makes great model trains and Marx makes great toy trains. Marx was Lionel's only rival for a while, but at the same time Marx was making something different. Mr. Marx wanted kids to have toy trains at an affordable price. "Quality toys for less" he said.

Marx and Lionel coexisted and in more than a few ways complimented and helped each other . I suspect Marx business approach was more friendly while Lionel was a bit more rigid and formal :)

to me realism is nice, but not a requirement im in the hobby just for the pure fun of running trains!

They're not really tin, they're tin-plated steel.

I didn't know that :) Thanks for the clarification :)
