Will, watching your videos are pure entertainment value, and its good to get an exercise free six pack through all the laughing. You did a great job putting them blinds up in at the end, you know you have to be extra careful if you paid £500 for such a novel and fragile (low quality) item, hopefully they wont fly out on to your face while driving with your windows open. Can't wait to see your next video as always.

Thinking back to the early days, you can really see how far you've come using tools - and you even engineered your own fix for the rear view camera so I think you did great. Also, I know you said you wanted to smash everything, but I think you kept a pretty calm head. I'd have absolutely torn the blinds to shreds in anger and given up - so fair play for seeing it through!

Haven't I mentioned Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig? I am sure I have. My Dad recommended it to me when I fist started to work on my first car. He went threw the same shit when he was working on his motorcycle. Dude everybody struggles. My friend Jake would throw tools and scream at the top of his lungs and stomp away. I saw him blow up after snapping a bolt off in the head. It's not just you. We all do it to some degree at the start. It's were your at in the game right now. Your doing fine. This is like when your falling on your ass a lot when you first try to rollerblade. It sucks going through it. Dude what your doing now will help you later for bigger challenges than just a van. It's more about learning about yourself and how you deal with a challenge.

An adjustable phone / dashcam windscreen mount with 3m adessive may solve your rear-view camera mounting issue as you could simply line it up with the "mirror hole" in the blinds. Right now, knowing your luck, it's gonna come crashing down when next going over speedbumps / potholes or rough roads :3 _A suction cup holder may interfere with the blind-windscreen clearance_
@DiamondSu482 жыл бұрын
Had a giggle, though feel your pain. 62 yo grandma here with a zest for problem solving. Couldn't you add a mini thickness of "something" between rearview mirror and fixing so it lowers the mirror stem to fit between blind frame gap? Then nothing needs to change re mirror and rear camera. Good luck as always. The van is looking real good. 👌
