Doesn’t X2 have an over the shoulder restraint though? I feel like that’s why dc rivals backwards up the lift hill is unnerving - because you feel like you’re going to fall forward out of your seat and off the back of the train. The lap bar feels like nothing

I finally had my first rides on this just the other day. As far as the backwards seat goes, it left me speechless. The rides becomes so intense and incredible. You get completely tossed out of your seat, especially on those bunny hills near the end. One of the highlights of my life.

I have to say riding backwards on the Rivals is one of the scariest things I have ever done. The lift hill is nerve-wracking, the first drop is insane, but what on earth are those bunny hills at the end?!

I was really terrified about trying the backwards row. When the ride dispatched the station. I was shaking like crazy soooo scared when the ride lifted up the lift hill. But as soon as the ride went down the first drop. I ended up beyond loving it. I am definitely trying the backwards row again next time I go. I loved it so much

I’m not going to lie this would be too much for me. Backwards is my Achilles Heel on coasters as I’ll get so motion sick experiencing it as I can marathon Lightning Rod and be fine but the minute I do Firechaser Express, oh I need to sit down. I wouldn’t have a fun time doing this unfortunately. I’ll rather do the second back row which is forwards.
