I lived in Cannon Beach for a couple years, that shot at 1:26 has all the iconic marks of the Oregon coast - the weathered siding, the windswept pines, the endless rain, the ubiquitous hedges - and made me really miss it. I didn't mtb when I lived there, though, so this trail system is news to me (Although the name sounded strangely familiar before I clicked)! Definitely have to check it out next time my wife and I vacation there.

@airliftpilot3 жыл бұрын
At the end you mentioned you only did two runs because the trails where wet...up in Washington the trails I ride are best ridden in the rain...in fact the dry summer destroys our trails. Very different then when I lived in St Louis and riding a wet trail was a mortal sin!
@TheShredist3 жыл бұрын
Being on the coast I would assume these trails are usually ridden wet, it was really that combined with the freshly fallen leaves that made it super sketchy. Back home you can ride the trails wet too, as long as they aren't mudded out. Some people assume all dirt is similar and spit venom at the sight of someone riding wet trails. Go figure 🤷♂️

@YanDoroshenko3 жыл бұрын
Just so you know - I went down hard a couple of months ago and the jaw unclipped from my Super DH helmet (exactly like the one Sarah has, black & white). Here's the outcome (this is 3 days after the crash): imgur.com/a/aoROIeO. I'm not telling anyone what to do, but next time I'm doing any serious riding, I will be wearing a real full face helmet.
@TheShredist3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, convertible helmets will never protect as well as a true full face. I have a true full face helmet on everything I head to the bike park atleast. Might upgrade to a full face enduro next season too.
