Many thanks for doing this Vanessa. I really is quite humbling to see how much bikes can help out so much in these areas. People having to walk miles each way to get to somewhere that may or may not be open with family members is incredible. The bikes are clearly helping a lot. The scary part was at the end where a truck is stuck in the sand blocking the road for other vehicles that may be transporting medical supplies. Two Wheels For Life is an incredible organisation, anyone who can afford to help out should consider doing so. Many thanks for sharing.

Very well said, thank you so much for weatching, I am glad you are able to see how significant and life changing this charity is, and you are very right about the truck, thankfully it wasnt too long until they were able to get it moving again, but yes it really shows how vital motorcycles can be, as alot of the roads are sand. Thanks for watching

When there was none, a little healthcare goes a long way! I bet now that you became a mum yourself, you see Two Wheels for Life with completely different eyes. Especially in pregnancy, there are so many things that can go wrong with a mother's health that are easily fixable. All it takes is the means to provide what's needed. 🤗 As I guess Two Wheels for Life are still in touch with you, may I just remark that a silly old Krautlander thought a co-operation between Senegal and The Gambia for a common air rescue would be a bloody great thing? The populations of both countries in the region combined should roughly be in the range of what one helicopter can provide with emergency transport capacity. If some air force had a heli with a reasonable amount of hours working life left on it and they'd be willing to donate it (And one as back up, maybe? (Or two? 😁)), this would be a huge help. I am confident there are maintenance facilities at Dakar at least where they could take good care of the aircraft. I worked in helicopter maintenance in the late Nineties. Back then, BO-105s still were widely used as air rescues. These helis couldn't do much more than come collect their patient and deliver it to the closest hospital as quickly as possible. That still rescued countless lives. For such an air rescue, none of the wonderful Gambians and Senegalese would ever have to die due to an appendicitis or a dead foetus in a womb and similar health issues ever again! That, Dear Vanessa, was a most lovely video! 🤗😍

Thank you so much for supporting this charity. I made my donation separately on the web. The link in the video didn’t go directly to the donation page. I don’t know if it was just my iPhone or what. Best to you and your Team!
