If people are going to use use the a few bad apples excuse with the cops then the same could be said about the protesters. 99% of them are peaceful and good meaning. It's the bad apples that come out after dark to capitalize on the situation. The only difference is was that the peaceful protesters are trying to stop the rioters and looters as well, whereas the cops don't give a fuck who you are they'll shoot you with rubber bullets, tear gas, beat you with their batons, shove down elderly people, etc. All while the "good apples" stand there and watch.

This brought shivers down my spine. I know EXACTLY how you feel going down these roads as protests are happening. I was in Hong Kong in the Summer of 2019 and I was part of that 2 million strong protest against the extradition bill. I stopped attending the protests when violence escalated because although I am a resident of Hong Kong (I grew up there and have a permanent resident ID card) I no longer live there. This gave me chills though, it reminded me of Admiralty and Central the day after huge riots, brings me back to Sheung Wan when there were bricks all over the road and "F the PoPo" written everywhere. Chills man.

My ancestors never owned slaves but if I say that my ancestors came to America in the mid 1700’s most people would just assume they did. This might be unpopular, but I don’t think Chauvin should be convicted for murder, but for manslaughter, and not be able to apply for anything close to resembling Security, Police, or government employment. By the autopsy a year ago, he died of sudden heart failure, but he had effects prior to his unfortunate passing. He was said to have had a substance in his system. Which might, Might, be the killer. Chauvin was doing a definite wrong and he should pay the penalty for that. But is he the sole reason Floyd died? Probably not.
