Johnny and sedona, we'll be going through these basic warm up exercises as part of their daily routine every time we ride.
It's the repetition that actually builds the muscle memory, which affords you to be able to do these exercises correctly. When you first start out, some parts will be harder than others. But it's learning these foundation exercises and getting to the point where both you and your horse can do these daily and very quickly as part of your warm up routine will help establish you and your horse as being a better team. And able to accomplish your goals.
We always think about moving the whole body.So we start out by moving the head in the neck with lateral flexing.
We will follow with either moving the hindquarters or the four quarters.
Always make sure you get in a good back.
And then follow up with the sidepass.
The order you do These exercises in really doesn't matter all that much. I suggest working on the ones that are easier for you. First and then finishing off by working on something that's a little bit more challenging. Usually that the four quarters or the side pass.
