RIDING MY FIRST E-BIKE FEELS INSANE!!

I'm finally part of the E-Bike game. Marin Bikes launched the Alpine Trail E1 today which is their brand new electric mountain bike. It's so sick! I was never a believer in E bikes but after riding one on some loam tracks, climbs, berms and jumps - I'm sold and i think they're great fun! time to upgrade this bike and build my first ever dream build E MTB. Enjoy.

E mountains on trail are so good, the weight even adds to the ride especially through deep mud and as for going uphill, makes that a complete laugh and skill as well. Cant speak highly enough of them , taking out the manual is hard choice.

Buzzing to see you on an e-bike Matt. It’s true, I’m only 27 but I can enjoy the long climbs and take everything in. Then hit a trail line, go back up and do a different one. Although for long days you’re best putting in that extra effort and keeping it in eco as long as you can 😂

As someone who has been riding my Hawk Hill.. er, "Rift Zone" that has taken every beating I can give it through some of the gnarliest DH and jump lines the PNW has to offer this video convinced me. I'm sticking with MARIN and just bough an Alpine E1. Never had an EV before but looking forward to NOT having to climb as hard anymore and getting in 3x as many runs in a day with a bike manufacture that I trust. I'll most likely do some upgrades as I have done with the Hawk.. er, "Rift Zone" but yeah, great video man. You just sold another E1.

A lot of people think of E-Bikes as "cheating" or an "easy way out". What we shouldn't forget, is that many people are limited by their body. Doesnt matter if its an injury, or an illness, or whatever. E-Bikes give people with heart problems, knee problems, cardiac issues, a single kidney or age or whatever, a chance to experience the sport in its full form. I actually know an older couple that rides e bikes because Mountainbiking their entire life has done a hard one on them. Heart problems and Knee operations is what ultimately made them unable to ride properly. However they both now have Specialized Turvo levos and thanks to the electric drivetrain on them they can bike at an easy pace again without putting their health at risk. We should appreciate E-Bikes as they give EVERYONE a chance to experience the sport. For quite a number of people out there, its really the only option.
