If you think that the east feels different from the west now you should have experienced it while the ‘wall’ was still up and just after it came down. I visited East Berlin twice passing through Checkpoint Charlie both times. I also travelled down the corridor from Helmstadt to West Berlin. Now those visits really were something special. Very soon after the wall came down I visited Eisenach and it was defined by two smells, woodsmoke and 2 stroke oil. I visited Colditz while the Schloss was still a mental hospital and re-visited Berlin when the wall was down but the Russian troops were still around. Those trips will remain vivid memories for ever. The differences are much more subtle now and a non German, non German speaker might be totally unaware of them.

A very enjoyable video with some great info. Not needing the vignette for motorcycles is a very nice surprise. I didn't know that. In most of the countries in Europe you need it. :) Otherwise been there many times with a car. :) Cheers bro. Take care.

I saw you have a problem with back pain. I had the same issue before. Dont wear backpack all day long, strap it to the seat. Try it just one day long , it will solve lot of back problems.👍

I know that one i ususly do it like that. On this tour i am wearing the back pack but all it’s weight is resting on the Luggage behind it thats why i can Ride the bike with the back pack. If i would have to hold the weight this trip would be over very quikly 😂

I would like to agree with BladeRicsi. Even if the backpack rests on top of the other luggage and the vertical weight load is eliminated, the straps pull your shoulders backwards into an unfamiliar, forced position. This is the best condition for muscle tension and the typical back pain.

Jedesmal, wenn ich deine Videos sehe, überfällt mich ein Deja Vu Gefühl. Ehrlich mal, du wirkst wie jemand, den sie in den 1970er Jahren eingefroren und im Jahr 2024 wieder aufgetaut haben. Die totale Antithese zur GenZ. Jemand, der furchtlos ist, sich selber zu helfen weiss und tatsächlich alleine klar kommt. Jemand mit eigenem Kopf. Sieht man im 21. Jahrhundert nicht sehr oft. Deine Tour verfolge ich mit großem Spaß. Vielleicht sollte ich miir doch nen Titangelenk in die Hüfte Pflanzen lassen, mich aufs Moped schwingen und nach China fahren. Sieh dich bloß vor, das du nicht einfach weiter fährst und ne Weltumrundung hinlegst... :))

Vielen Dank für das Kompliment☺️. Wer weis wo die Tour noch geht, vielleicht wird das ja was mit der weltumrumrundung. Wen du Probleme mit der Hüfte hast könntest du dir mal einen Maxi Scooter für deine tour anschauen. Die stehen Motorrader quasi in nichts nach abgesehen davon das man ein gleichmäßigeres beschleunigungsverhalten hat, was sich nicht so emotional anfühlt. Für den kleinen Geldbeutel gibt es die von sym. Die sind Markt führend in Nordeuropa und haben viele Vertragshändler auf dem Weg nach China und in China. Gibt ähnliches auch von Yamaha oder Suzuki. Ich kenn ein paar die ihre großen gs Motorräder dagegen ausgetauscht haben und die sind alle recht glücklich damit. Ich weis viele Leute die vom Motorrad kommen finden jetzt Roller nicht so klasse. Aber mit 50ps+ fühlt es sich zu 90 Prozent wie ein Motorrad an und damit sind große Touren wen der Körper nicht mehr so will noch gut möglich
