Some examples of 'bike sense' that can be developed - when a car is pulling out onto the road perpendicular to the sidewalk, looking at the driver to see if they notice you (otherwise need to be cautious or pass behind them); using the idling gear sound to let pedestrians know you're approaching; potential route options to take opening up (e.g. once you learn how to jump up and down curbs or ride down stairs).
