Likewise. I prefer the natural ambient sounds of the journey, the train announcements, etc. Funny, as I'm a working musician, but some things are better without a musical soundtrack.

I am blown away by how smooth the train ride is, from the foot bath to watching the wine sitting on the table, WOW! Makes Amtrak look like a horse and buggy. Sorry Amtrak.

It is my utmost pleasure to join you on your travels. These videos are among the best I've ever seen: No cheesy comments, no artificial action - just the travel and everything that happens on that travel. Of course you're cutting out the 1.5 hours that you just sat in your seat, but videos are also a source of entertainment - and yours are perfectly balanced. I was most amazed when you took your footbath: Travelling sideways (from your point of view) at 150 to 200 KPH, feet relaxed in a small pool that's not too warm nor too cold, with that wonderful snowscape outside of the window. Just wonderful! :-)

Dear Kuga-san, I am a flight attendant and love travelling by train during my layovers in Japan. I just now found your great channel and am soooo looking forward to come to Japan again when it opens. Ím learning nihongo to get around more easily and its fantastic to listen to the sounds at the train stations and the announcements in those fabulous trains! I really appreciate that you take time to show your tickets and the signs. So I can try to find the important Information on them and practice my kana reading ;-) there is nothing like going to an onsen after a day of hiking in the mountains ! Please continue your calm and interesting videos. どもありがとうございます

Like someone said in another comment, your videos really give you an idea of what it is like to travel in Japan. That wagon is so top tier. Not only the footbath, but also all the wood that has been used inside of it. It feels more like a little wellness salon and less so than a sterile trainwagon made out of metal.

I'm curious about this E3 train service, does it run all the way from Tokyo like the regular Tsubasa service? I can imagine relaxing on footbath while strolling around at 130 kph towards Yamagata. But the regular Tsubasa services are blasted all the way to 300 kph on Tohoku shinkansen line, before decoupling with the Yamabiko E5/H5 series train set at Fukushima. For others not knowing this "mini-shinkansen" service: yes, this "bullet train" only travels at 130 kph max on shared standard gauge track. There is another interesting E3 train running on Joetsu Shinkansen line, called "Genbi Shinkansen", it is dubbed "the fastest art gallery". Sadly, it is no longer in service since December 2020.

Meanwhile in Sweden if going by train, you have to put up with people being loud, and if there was any foot bath onboard, it would splash all over the place because of how much the train shakes and leans. I really hate going by train here because it’s just uncomfortable and loud... But in Japan it looks like train travel is really relaxing and enjoyable!

Lovely video again dear Kuga-san. This video with the new Tsubasa and includinga a bit of Ginzan, worm my heart. Took that ride in middle of 90th. With the older Tsubasa though :) In the first picture of Ginzan, i could see the small mountain wich i claimb. Up there it was full with snakes. Luckely the snakes was lazy and not aggressiv. Your video made me want to visit in Ginzan again - Domo arigato for you sharing your intresting travels. Lasse - your trainmaneger friend in Sweden.
