I’ve seen this many times, it is relaxing, but this extended cut is even better. It’s become my favorite, even more than his ‘other’ super popular winter video in his small van. I could eat that stew right through the screen. In fact I will try to make it sometime this weekend for Canada day if possible. Roco brings balance to his daily life and is quite calm for a Jack Russel.

I've watched this video three times now and it is yet to get old. Outside, a blizzard, inside, a man and his dog riding it out calmly and comfortably. Coffee and later, a nice beef stew, and that lovely seasoned timber going into that awesome fireplace. The outdoor shots were brave and really added some perspective to the story.

The other version of this video is one of my all-time favorite videos, but this one is outstanding too. - When I was 16, I was forced to live in my truck for financial reasons; (I was really poor!) I lived in a 1974 Ford Bronco. Naturally, I didn't have any of the amenities as he has in his impressive vehicle; all I had was a heater and an AM radio, neither of which worked very well. To awaken in time for work, I'd park in a hotel parking lot, and the patrons would wake me with the noise they made as they left. - Anyway, this video evokes all too rare feelings of coziness and a contented solitude rarely found in life any longer. Thank you for an extraordinary viewing experience.

That wood stove is worth it’s weight in gold. Keeps you and Rocko warm and alive, looks cosy having an orangey glow and no doubt makes comforting crackles and pops …..AND you can cook stuff!

Once you have a bed of coals, you shoul close the bottom air vents. Your wood supply will last longer... been burning wood in a woodstove since the mid 70's...

the only problem with the cubic mini and cub is their short burn times. They can only take 8" longs, they have a small burn chamber, so they only burn for 3-4 hours max with really good wood. most cases they might get 2-3 hours. This means in extreme conditions, you might have to only take naps if you have to keep your stove going. If there's 2 people you might have to do a firewatch rotation, where 1 sleeps for part of the night while the other stays awake keeping the fire going... then trading places.

3:08 foresty as someone who’s worked in the paper industry, I’d really recommend rising the filter paper before you brew. Who knows what kinds of soluble residue and loose fibers are in the paper

Forest, I know that I’m probably in the minority here and the videos might not be that popular, but I’d personally love to see your travels between states on here. Nothing special, just a GoPro on the dash, sped up to reduce a six hour drive to say an hour, you know long format. I have a custom-built small woodstove in my truck camper. It's my sole source of heat, and I couldn't be happier. It's snowing today, and my pets and I are toasty warm. Propane heat causes way too much condensation. Wood heat is dry, and nothing beats it for warmth. It is without a doubt the best improvement I've made to my camper.
