Hi Roman. I haven't been to India but am researching on travelling there. Accdg to some locals, you can also now book a rickshaw/ tuktuk via Ola or Uber. So if you want a safer ride (and no haggling for price), then consider an Ola rickshaw. Hope you're enjoying your travels. Cheers!

Also I'd say that if you are in a city then try to use Uber you'll save yourself from getting yourself overcharged. Uber can also be used as a frame of reference for the price, if you want to reach some place locally instead of uber. People would often reach out to you in a well touristic places like Connaught place delhi ( I have seen this happening myself). You might get yourself overcharged for some things. You can always check with a local person for the price of the things that you are felling that you are getting overcharged for.

I love your stories, Roman! You make me laugh with the way you describe situations! 😁 When I was in India, we went to a bird sanctuary. They had bicycle rickshaws to ride us around, and I also felt so bad for the guy! It was a super hot day (over 100 F), and the poor guy was wearing jeans and a long sleeved shirt, peddling along with me and another girl in the back. He was also telling us all about the birds and other animals we were looking at, even while peddling and sweating. I felt so bad, I coudn't even relax and concentrate on enjoying the scenery! After the ride, I wanted to make up for it, so I gave him a huge tip. He looked super shocked, but he was so thankful.

OMG yes. sometimes i felt so guilty when i would see things like that.
