You're talking about the "experience of walking down the street and seeing another person of color." The videos I'm seeing out of Paris appear to indicate 98% of the people there are "persons of color" AKA not of European descent and/or mostly black. Congratulations, I guess that means it's diverse or something. Wouldn't it be horrible if it was mostly white people in Paris or in the capital of any country founded by Europeans?

Venice on crossing the bridges. You will see people waiting motionless waiting to be bumped into due to the crowd and when you bump into them, they pickpocket you. Vs they bump into you and you check immediately. You bump into them they pickpocket you and dont realize it and you say excuse me and keep walking on as they walk away with you wallet

You're thinking way too much through skin color. A black person with a white person, they're just two persons. They may be a fringe of black persons seeking to "blend in" the whiteness, or white persons with a black fetish, but mostly, people just meet. We're not color blind. We acknowledge differences. But it doesn't separate us. For now. Unfortunately community culture from the US is creeping into French culture, and this is sad.

I am not racist, but I do differenciate the various human races. I don't see how one can ignore the physical appearance of a person. To me the skin colour of a person is part of their identity, and I respect their identity. I don't see what's wrong with the term _race_. We use it about dogs, cats, horses, birds, etc. why not about humans? One of my brothers married an African (father)-Brazilian (mother) lady; they have a daughter and a son; we all regard them as full members of our family, and we love them like the rest. Our niece married a Turk born in France, and they have two beautiful children. Our only regret, is that our surname is lost with them since their naturally bear their father's surname. :)

For me, a Frenchman, if you come from an overseas French territory, you are French, whatever your colour, and I am not surprised that you speak French with a regional accent. If you are black and are not French, obviously you are an African. :)

I think white and black are both racist , it will take a long time bebore we can see people for the content of their character instead of their colour .

As a German and Berliner i never heard more crazy US woke takes from a berliner leftist. We (black, brown, white) had to face real trained Nazis on the streets back in the 90s, not some "starring" (which is normal in german society, just say hello). He looks like a WHITE friend of me, with the exact same nice curly hair. "He is considered Brazilian" ? yeah maybe once in 10 year 😂. Also Americas "diversity" is based on slavery. US "diversity" is not based on being the "super progressives" on this planet. Germany had no African Slave camps on his soil, we enslaved Europe. German Racism was about Aryan race. US Racism is about white race. The Nazis had Asian and Arab Allies considered them equal. Comparing US racism and German Racism, or making it appear to be the same type is not right. Victims of the African Slave trade and Victims in Nazi Germany have both suffered horrible crimes, yet they have both different stories. The US history and Society is not the default for the rest of the world. Nobody has to apologize to US Woke brainwashed People because his Country in Asia or Europe did not imported forcefully millions of African slaves to woke white wash it afterwards as "diversity" *Facepalm When he said "Germany tried to kept white" he is the ignorant and racist. My Grandmother had to eat cats as a child to survive and clean the rubble after WWII. No Migrant on this planet wanted to immigrate into germany after WWII, a country bombed to the ground. Does he wanted to force brown and black people into Germany? He has crazy talking points like the right winger he hates so much, just the other side. Also he presented a lot of hearsay and bad faith. I have Family in Ghana are they all racist? Because there is not much "diversity" by US Race Agenda Standard as well. Are Africans "racist" when they ask ignorant question, first time seeing a european or asian person? He hates the west, always applies bad intend, he has a agenda. And yeah Football has racism issues, yet no other sports brings more different people together in Europe and the globe. I wonder what his stand is on the NBA xenophobic attacks against black & white Europeans driven by Black America. Some former black NBA players even wanted to ban Europeans. I never heard such xenophobic bs in European Soccer.

As a "white" french guy, I fully disagree with "no mixing of culture". Especially about food. One of the perk of dating someone from Africa, the Caribean or Reunion island is that you get to discover food, and I mean the real deal, not the industriel supermarket version. And THAT is very significant for us. By the way, that's somewhat true for metropolitan regional culture : Alsace, Brittany, Savoie, Gascogne... It's less true for music and langage, because we are all americanized anyway... About the census and the fact that ethnic census is a big no-no in France, remember that the last time we had something like that, it was used to send jewish people to the death camps. The idea of having the State registering your "race" or ethnicity is thus abhorrent. And the only ones defending the need to do such a thing are far-right political parties...

It is simply not true, that wearing a towel in German saunas is not allowed. It‘s also not true, that it is normal that people touch themselves in German saunas. Never seen this ! And I go to Geman saunas on a regular basis for many, many years. You can of course wear a towel even in the sauna cabin. Nobody is required to be completely naked there. It is not allowed to wear normal clothes because of hygienic reasons. But you CAN wear a sauna kilt or a towel around your body, Absolutely no problem. Nevertheless most people are completely naked in the sauna cabin, because they are accustomed to it and it is no big deal and absolutely not sexual.

Very brain teasing conversation. The "Republican ideal" prevails and is omnipotent in France. It is colorblind and restricts religion to a private space. WIth new generations of French or even West Europeans I often have conversations with new friends or even strangers where s/he never steps into querying upon your origin and even if you clumsily invoke it they'd shun it coz they're not interested in knowing where you come from: they just want to have a normal and truthfully colorblind conversation. Another critical point is that French people find it shocking to describe a person by terms such as Caucasian, African-American, Asian, Latino... this literally is illegal borderlining racism which is a criminal offense

Also I'd say that if you are in a city then try to use Uber you'll save yourself from getting yourself overcharged. Uber can also be used as a frame of reference for the price, if you want to reach some place locally instead of uber. People would often reach out to you in a well touristic places like Connaught place delhi ( I have seen this happening myself). You might get yourself overcharged for some things. You can always check with a local person for the price of the things that you are felling that you are getting overcharged for.

Is this propaganda? My Black professor at Colorado was pushed out. As much as 4 black women professors experienced racism and no media coverage. No one cared. It’s a constant mistreatment of Black people but it is hidden to make Boulder and the University look good. Coach Sanders even had his truck vandalized and spray painted with the n word and no media coverage. I can’t wait till I graduate so i can leave this city.

Living in Germany and kisaruni summarized it really good. Nothing to add. What I would add is that the fact that black people in Germany are not a bit united. Compared to France and the uk, the black people in Germany are scared to unite. They are sometimes even scared to be friendly to each other or like in America when u see another black person u kinda feel happy but here in Germany the blacks wants somehow to show that they don’t see color and that they are not threat or something. I don’t know. It’s because the Germans are really staring into ur soul. U talk about something that is not their concern and they take it personally like really personally and because of that fact I guess many blacks stab the back of each other. The black community in Germany is one of the weakest and in my opinion dangerous for the international black community because they is not much space to develop proudness. I don’t weird situation here 😂😂 I don’t like it. But one good thing has it. Maybe I’m just talking about myself but u never forget that this is not ur home and u need to relocate or like kisurani have another base because not having this Ventil, this country will break and u will not even notice. So for me it’s good because I know my future has to be somewhere else also for the mental safety of my children and I don’t loose my identity because it’s impossible to feel German when u are black and I don’t want to. But I see a lot of black people trying to this flip and they kinda lost for me. We have a lot of lost brother here. They look black and talk black but are not in any kind helpful for the community. Even Worse some of them are even threat. I live in west Germany.

if white people can't talk this way neither can you. blacks are 13% of the population, you can't wave a magical wand and get more minorities in one place without losing minorities in other places. the goal of America is to have minorities everywhere. and not have the races hurdled in one place. the destruction of America is segregation. telling people to live in one area because the color of a coach is racist. so white people move away from Bolder and move to Tallahassee because they have a white coach. see how stupid that sounds. The way people talk about Deion. It’s like you don’t want white people around now.
