How fun was that? So beautiful & adorable to watch Lily. Yes Shetlands are very stubborn ponies. Beautiful video.

I am in awe of you Ms Rhodes..I enjoyed your content ok’ing channel but I absolutely love your new channel so much. While I admire horses, they intimidate me. I may have had a couple of not so great experiences with crazy horses in my life. Anyone that can control these crazy ponies must be horse crazy. Loving the teaching! You are a star!

Great training for young riders! Great practice at gaits, lead changes, persistence, and rewards. I learned how to stay on a horse that wanted me off by riding a Shetland?Palomino mix.

I love watching the kids ride! I was a horse wrangler in Arizona for a few years, and grew up on a ranch working cattle with horses all my life. I love quarter horses the best, never cared for the shetlands I worked with though. I had a Welsh pony that was amazing! He was such a good arena horse, but would work cattle with the big horses too.

That was fun watching & learned more about how the ponies are trained, by a lot of patience. Lily, you continue to improve & have learned so much, & you do very well. Your confidence continues to grow with your horses.

lily no minis or shetlands yet.. lol! my daughter has more trouble from the minis, as far as getting into things and not listening, than all the big horses, including the drafts! i think when you're a little older, stronger, and more experienced for sure. my girl just told me today after a pony party event, that all the people were afraid of the big horses and wanted to pet the minis, even though they were all working doing cart rides. and the minis were trying to snap at people and trying to kick because they didn't like their spaces being invaded... lol. it wasn't bad, no one got hurt, just some gentle reminding to the ponies that they can't do that.

Lily, you stirrups are too short! Lengthen them so your ankles hit the leg irons when you sit with your legs hanging down. You will have better balance and control.

I think in a different video where the comments were off you mentioned how many cows you’re going to be having in the near future have you ever considered using your horses to move that many cows between paddocks?

Lily shouldn’t be riding that pony. She is lame. If the owner can’t see it why is she instructing. 😢

Lillys pony is lame.watch her head bop
@nutritionprepperssister48655 ай бұрын
I don’t know anything about horses. From what I see, she’s running like the others. Can you explain how the pony’s head indicates she’s lame? I thought lameness showed in a limp.
@Wolfdogrules5 ай бұрын
@@nutritionprepperssister4865 Its just like how when we put our sore foot down we kinda limp cause of the pain? so the horse is bobbing her head every time her front right hoof hits the ground and also looks short in her right hind as well as in its not stretching as far as it should when the horse is moving as for the head when the sound leg (Non hurting leg) is touching the ground the horses head drops and when the lame leg (Hurting leg) is touching the ground the head goes up to relive some of the pain and pressure, hopefully that was explained in a way you can understand
