On my most recent trip to Disneyland - Space Mountain (Hyperspace Mountain) temporarily broke down on us. During this time, I was able to ride the ride with all of the LIGHTS ON. Definitely a rare moment for me.

One time a few years ago, the Pinocchio ride broke down, and I had to walk the rest of the way with the lights on. I loved it. It's my favorite of the Fantasyland rides.

That's why I don't go to small fair's. Disney has an amazing track record though, most fatalities have been from idiotic tourists.

It was great. They just had to reset the ride - so we were able to stay on the ride and go again immediately.
