Riding the Auto Train

For those that don't know Auto Train is a Passenger train that runs between Sanford FL and Lorton VA that takes Passengers and their Vehicles. On my first trip on the Auto Train I filmed my experience and I am a Railfan so I'm not the best at trip reports so I do apologize for the not great quality of this video but I do hope you enjoy it. I always take the train 90 from Deland to Trenton, my old home town. I always go coach and bum rides from family up in Trenton.

Do you know what sucks? When I disembarked the train yesterday morning, I couldn’t get back in to buy the autotrain book.. unlike in Virginia I could get it at Walmart and Walgreens, I couldn’t get it in Sanford..

Are they charging for the use of the luggage carts now? Thought I read they were which i thought was absurd.

We didn't have to pay for the luggage carts but it is recommended you tip the red caps that handle them when you get to the terminal

It was the coach section being attached to the sleeper section

Great video about what it is actually like to ride coach. I'm using that train in 2 weeks
