What an absolutely beautiful country Switzerland is. Like heaven on earth. That was such a wonderful train ride. The seats were so beautiful and the skylight let you see the scenery. The food looked so yummy too. Thank you Kuga! Merry Christmas 🎄

We did the Bernini express to Chur then hopped on the Glacier express following day to Zermitt. Best two train trips I’ve done. Scenery is stunning. Late spring.. memories ❤❤

The Zermatt-Chur-Express is actually there to relieve the Zermatt-St-Moritz trains, and is mainly booked by tour operators. This way, they can offer a GE experience to their clients, and leave the "long" GE to the individual travellers, which prefer to do the entire run and pass a few days in Switzerlands most famous alpine towns. Nice to see you had a few happy days in Switzerland this summer - I enjoyed seeing your view on my country as much as I enjoy seeing yours (where I *will* go a second time) through the eyes of a local 😊

Thanks for the experience. We were supposed to ride the Glacier Express last summer BUT our flight to Switzerland was canceled while we were at the airport and we ended up arriving a day late and missed our scheduled ride.

グレーシャー・エクスプレス、いいですよねー。山もいいけど、小川ぎりぎりのところを走っていて、いちいち「わお！」って感動していました。１stクラスの方が２ndより食事が早く運ばれてくるので、ランチを頼みたい人は１stの席を取ったほうがいいですね。２nd席の人は、念の為スナックなど買い込んで持ち込むといいかも。Churで降りて散策されたのでしょうか？中世の歴史を色濃く感じる素敵な村ですよね。

The Glacier Express is an experience like no other.But boy, it is slow. We took it from Chur to Zermatt on a 6 hr journey. The ride had its ups and lows where you get perked up passing by an awesome scenery and sometimes dozing off but it was great all in all. Kuga san seem to be the only passenger at that time 😁

The train looked very comfortable to travel in. And the panoramic view of it of the scenery very beautiful. I really enjoyed it and I know you did too now the meal looked good too. IDK what you call it in Japan but we call it meatloaf here. I'm glad you had a great time. Just out of curiosity did you happen to go to Paris. I've been there and it's one of my favorite cities in the world well besides Tokyo.

I had the opportunity to ride on this train too, unfortunately the weather was bad and all I saw was clouds, from the inside… Try the Bernina Express From St. Moritz to Lugano (last part with Bus) also an amazing experience with great views!

Most people prefer the St. Moritz, resp. Chur to Zermatt route - that´s way the train is so empty!

Considering the total cost of your average holiday to Switzerland, I would highly recommend spending more money for the 1st class cars on all trains. It initially looks like a lot of money on paper, but it will only increase the total cost of your holiday by a few percentage points, and it's well worth it!
