Just about every time I stop, unless I'm in an isolated area, I end up in a conversation about ebikes with some person walking or in some cases driving by. EBIKES are great conversation starters! I very seldom include those conversations in my videos as they are usually scattered talk and is hard to follow if you are not actually there. We talk about whatever is of interest to the person starting the conversation. Wherever the conversation goes I have a good time talking with them. Frequently they give me ideas of places to ride or places where they have seen ebikes riding around. Sometimes that riding place is like 800 miles away.

Hey Russ great ride on the MC Deer Step-Thru 20 with the better half Mrs.Right. I use the ROCKBROS Photochromic Sports Sunglasses with UV Protection and I see the display perfectly. They get darker as the sun gets brighter plus it blocks out wind and they're cool looking. But I'm guessing your polarized sunglasses are prescription and this won't work. I've had other sunglasses where you cant see the display and is frustrating like riding blind. But at least you have a GREAT bike to ride! Keep riding Russ.

8:09 yep I remember that “Karen” video. As a scooter rider, I can ride it anywhere besides the highway road and freeways. I avoid riding mine on shoulders on highway road because I had a flat there. I use the back ways. I usually play my music real loud too. I post my pics on Reddit and I got hit on criticism telling me to change my handlebars blah blah

Perhaps you need some different, designated sunglasses for riding your ebikes. I would not like not being able to see the display. I wear glasses that transition into sunglasses. I can see the display. I enjoyed this video a lot of you both being in Wisconsin. Pretty park and flowers in parts of the ride. It is fun talking to people about our ebikes. Mrs. Right is getting pretty nimble on her ebike.

It’s been a few years, but I believe.that the Kenosha bike trail goes as far north as Carthage College. There is a lakefront park where you and Mrs.Right turned around. If you follow the lakefront through that park you should be able to pick up the last couple of miles of that trail.

In my state and in several states, if you have a motor greater than 750W and/or the bike travels faster than 28mph the bike has to be registered as a moped. Surrons would be registered, in this state, as a moped. Mopeds are not bikes and therefore are not allowed on hiking/biking trails.

Gorilla makes some really good tire levers, they are supposed to be unbreakable but i have managed to break a few. I guess if you break them they will replace it, but i never took them up on that- they are cheap and work well .

Russ glad to see you both out. But i have a urgent message to you and others. When your riding with spouses or friends , being sble to talk with them ehile rising has so much value. Anyone can get a drop in sprakers on helmets, maybe a bit pricey, but it saved mu husbands life. He was riding in front of me taking a left turn ehen out of the blue a guy came from the right side of the y in the road. He did not see them coming, and i yelled at him to stop, the other guy was speeding. If i didnt have the speakers he would of got hit by this idiot. I was too far back to of gotten him a message eith out our speakers. We both feel its worth the price.

I'm like you Russ. I ride fast, but when I'm passing others on the trail I slow down and pass with care. Most appreciate it, but some will hate you for riding an e-bike no matter how careful you are. We have a lot of "slow" e-bike riders in my area. They are on e-bikes but still ride as slow or even slower than most of the regular cyclists on the trail. I assume they don't have many issues with other trail users.

PS From what I have seen, a lot of non motorized bicycle riders go just as fast if not faster than ebikes. You are an excellent rider,capable, knowledgeable and a great ambassador for ebike riders. Question, there is a section of road though the battlefields in Gettysburg that I want to ride on my ebike but it is one way, and I would need to ride back to the parking area, and ride against the one way. It is a quiet, special road and I am wondering if it would be okay to go against the one way or not? I plan to go during the week and quiet time.

I have seen people doing it on gravel. I personally do not travel this way so I can’t say firsthand. But many people do it.
