I love the Spanish horse breeds looks, Marismeno, PRE etc.. So elegant, and the movement looks like riding on clouds.

Truly fascinating, I’d like to give you a list of some rare breeds that I think you should totally shine a light on, one being one of the oldest riding breeds out of Germany from the 1100s The Senner or Senne is a critically-endangered German breed of riding horse. It is believed to be the oldest saddle-horse breed in Germany, and is documented at least as far back as 1160, it is even thought to be the horse that started the stock for the Hanoverian, Next: The distinguished Rhenish German Coldblood is a gentlemanly sort. These slow-paced sweethearts have used their muscle power for years, helping out land workers. In 2007, these gorgeous creatures were marked as endangered Next: Schwarzwälder Kaltblut, is an endangered German breed of light draft horse from the Black Forest of southern Germany. Then one of my favorites out of France and the only thing is keeping this horse from going extinct is the fact that the French eat them and I think that’s disgusting! It is the most magnificent course in the world bar none! The Boulonnais/ Le cheval Boulonnais The Boulonnais, also known as the "White Marble Horse" is a draft horse breed. It is known for its large but elegant appearance and is usually gray, although chestnut and black are also allowed by the French breed registry. Originally there were several sub-types, but they were crossbred until only one is seen today. The breed's origins trace to a period before the Crusades and, during the 17th century, Spanish Barb, Arabian, and Andalusian blood were added to create the modern type. The breed nearly became extinct following World War II, but rebounded in France in the 1970s as a popular breed for horse meat. Breed numbers remain low; it is estimated that fewer than 1,000 horses remain in Europe, mostly in France, with a few in other nations. Studies as early as 1983 indicated a danger of inbreeding within the Boulonnais population

I second this! I would like to add the Poitevin, a critically endangered draught horse breed from the Poitou region in France that was originally used for breeding mules. I've also heard some of them might be gaited, but I can't find any solid source on this. Sadly only about 200 of them remain today.

The inside back corners on the metal stirrup foot plates looked to be poking the horses sides with some movements. That saddle looks extremely comfortable and secure to ride in. The bit does look severe but it seems to be used gently. Absolutely beautiful horse, looked very happy, relaxed and comfortable. They must have brilliant trainers to get the horses to that level so quickly.
@JohanEngelen

These are the origins of the western saddle. They are very comfy. Normally you put your foot against the inside side of the stirrup so the corner doesn't poke. And yes you ride with a very soft hand.

I'm sorry, but the people who cares for the breed don't sell the pure breed horses bc they are trying to protect the breed. However, you can ride them in ride paths in the Doñana Natural Park, but don't try with the wild ones, they has an spicy temper! 😂

I really like that they let the horses grow up on the marshes as nature intended,with little interference from man. The man pointed out that because they are left in the environment that they are disease resistant.

A few things: that's not exactly a "town", it's a village belongs to Almonte, the real town. El Rocío it's a pilgrimage center, where normally, the Virgin of El Rocío awaits their pilgrims in the spring and autum. The biggest white building it's the church. The pilgrimage started around the XII century since Almonte to the church. Centuries later, national and internacional groups made the pilgrimage specially in the spring, the most important. Bc tradicionally was, and still it's, with horses, your own feet or antique cars, bc the motor cars as a lot of restrictions there, the horse culture it's very strong in the area. About the breed, it's not that usual to train and ride them, so Daniel is a very good trainer. Normally it's forbide to try to touch them, and they has a strong bite, a lot of personality and a brave spirit, so it's better admire them in the distance. If you want to visit the place, I recommed you the winter despite the cold, less people, or just before the spring pilgrimage. In summer it's the spectacular "saca de las yeguas", when they reunited all the breed to study their health and know the foals, and pass in front of the church to Almonte, but the hot it's very intense. Last thing: the "cowboy culture", since USA to Argentina, born in this area, where the cowboys ride this horses.

That region stayed stuck in time, no normal roads, stirrups from the roman time😅 You get back in time😅 I don't see much diference with the PRE, maybe havier and stronger. It looks a bit like an old mexican western site😅
@CBOANDALUCIA
@CBOANDALUCIA 2 ай бұрын
😂😂😂 OMG, where do you think the "cowboy culture" started? Just in there, in the SW of Spain. P.d. It has modern infraestructures, but this area specially it's in the Doñana Natural Park, so we can't build a lot of things. In fact, that's not a normal "town", it's a pilgrimage point since the XII century, aprox.

@CBOANDALUCIA
@CBOANDALUCIA 2 ай бұрын
