Yes, visitors can tour the gardens and feed the ponies, but they don't offer public horseback riding there at this time.

I am assuming the line is so absorbed in the same geno that full term foaling is near impossible now. It is sad to see another breed becoming history. Japan has the technology if they choose.

I repeat my question: you showed us already 5 ponybreeds in japan. Are there also japanese horses or only ponies. In google i can find only 9 poniebreeds. I know about a japanese in the netherlands who has a KWPN in an exclusif stable and compete with this horse. And i know there are horseraces in japan, but don't know if it's with ponys or horses. 🤔

Great question! All of the native breeds from Japan are ponies. They call them "Uma" which translates to "horse" but in regards to size, they are all small enough to officially be ponies. Most of the horses being ridden in Japan are not the native breeds, they are other, larger breeds that have been imported.

We live by Holmes County, Amish settlement. The Japanese buyers are buying beautiful teams of draft horses at the auctions to slaughter and can them for food. It is sickening.
