Riding the NEW 2023 ZX6R

It's perfectly normal for that particular bike to get up to those temps. If I'm not mistaken the fan will kick on at 212° F. Which is the boiling point for water. The key is to keep it moving if and when you can. Wind going into the ram air duct as well as blowing on the radiator is how the bike will cool to normal operating temperatures.

I got a 23’ Z650 a month ago. Didn’t do much research when I got it. Now after seeing videos on ZX6R, I gotta say, I’m starting to love the sport models more. Thinking about trading my z650 in for the ZX6R

Do you have any issues with buzzing at certain RPM, like 6k-8.5k rpm? Does your quick shifter shift rough from 1st to 2nd? Also what is your throttle play like to downshift so well? I just bought a 2023 zx6r krt and I have these concerns but nobody to ask that really knows

I do have the buzz but i noticed the three dot light comes on (on the top left of the digital part of the dash) whenever that buzz is happening meaning it’s in “eco mode” where it’s above 50mpg so i think it has something to do with that, first to second the kqs is typically harsh if you aren’t accelerating hard, and lastly my throttle play isn’t terrible, it took a second to get used to but you kinda figure it out after awhile, hope this helps!

Im debating on gettign one this summer but insurance is the only thing worrying me. Im 23 with no tickets and ik its still gonna hurt and be several hundreds a month

Usually you can bundle with whatever car insurance you got. I got gieco for my car so I went through gieco for my zx-6r and I pay I believe $78/ month for the bike. Car is about the same maybe few bucks more. So I pay around $160/month for my car and bike. But if you ride safe don’t do any stupid stuff. It will go down in time.

I love watching these videos and am glad to see that someone else is learning too. I want to get on a sport bike but I'm 5'1" and can barely handle most cruisers. I also have a metal plate in my wrist to accommodate for after a motorcycle accident too 😅 Stay safe and keep riding :)
