Just done 2 loops of the new blue a couple of hours back. Very fair review. If you are experienced and expect excitement you won’t get it but if you want to use it as a training ride then it’s good, it reminds me of an XC short route with a few basic berms. What is great however is that it can be the perfect trail to introduce people to riding more twisty terrain because with it not being that fast there is no real danger (I passed many families today which was nice to see kids learning it). Good effort by the team with the terrain they had to work with. The red albeit basic for a red is still considerably faster in sections but it would be nice to see this approach taken on new red sections as I’m convinced they can make more of those based on what they have done here.

Yeah I couldn’t agree more with what you have said. The blue is a chilled ride and they have made it as exciting as you would expect with what they have. The red has potential but needs some work.

@@bikeandbeyond yup, and who doesn’t like a chilled terrain ride from time to time. I’ve always found XC trails really help my fitness as you can ride them at pace without any stopping. Great videos as usual!

I live local and i agree that the blue is more of an XC trail. I take my 11 year old nephew and we have a great time. There is a bench about half way round near the railway bridge that we have a break at and have a sandwich.

Nice! I’m headed for the Pines next weekend! I don’t mind the “red” trail though, some fun sections on there

Nice, enjoy. It’s worth checking out the new blue sections 👍🏻

@@bikeandbeyond yeah it’s handy that the trail centre is near where my dad lives. Always throw my bike in the car when going to visit!

I would suggest you look into Matlock black rocks and shinning cliff woods if your living locally

Awesome. I’ll check them out.

@@bikeandbeyond I ride at black rocks once a week. It’s good. There is also crich chase that’s good and natural and less steep. Also drum hill for some downhill trails.
@creativechimp032 жыл бұрын
I second this black rocks is minutes away for me and has great trails you’ll love it you haven’t been on them. Take the FS, I’m on a hardtail Bizango and it’s fine but it’s harder work as they aren’t flow trails.
@danmccabe20042 жыл бұрын
@@creativechimp03 I used to ride them on hardtail too. That’s what got me to buy a full suspension bike.

A lot has certainly changed in the 10 years since I last visited! Just picked up a Bizango myself and live near here, so I'm looking forward to getting back into it. Appreciate this video a lot. Btw, my gears on the Bizango came all out of whack, and even taking it back to the store, they still haven't managed to fix the issue; have you had any such problems? To note, it's a not the pro, but the standard model.

Congrats for getting back on the bike. I haven’t had any gear issues as of yet. The cables will stretch a bit when you get the bike so it may take a little while to settle in.

The blue trail has sections that have recently been revamped, so I think it is more fun. The red doesn’t really have a whole lot on it.
