That was brilliant…I caught myself leaning my head and body, sat in my chair, as I watched you going around the bends….great fun, thanks.

Hi Graham. Yes, and neither of us fell off. No doubt some young upstart would do the runs twice as fast but they tend to be fearless and besides, if I came a cropper, who'd drive our motorhome lol. Cheers.

Hi Gary. Yes, these places are there and many we don't even know about them. Helen found Sherwood Pines just by chance as she was looking for somewhere to go and stay. There is a large carpark in the woods near the map where we started and it's about 80 miles away, so it is doable in one day. Pop your bike and some butties in the boot and away you go. But of course, you would prefer a nice day. Cheers.

Hi Drew. Yes, we let very lucky with the weather. As for all the other tracks, if I was eighteen again I might try the next one which is the red route. Even then I wasn't very adventurous lol. Cheers.

Love your forest trails. Especially love all your Scotland videos. So scenic. You should get yourself into Wales somewhere I am sure you would find some nice rides there.

Hi Liz. Nice to hear off you. We have been to Wales but not for quite some time. Great Orme's Head is on my wanted list for Wales. Also the Lake District which we go passed on the way to Scotland. Given enough time it might happen. My videos are a little thin on the ground at the moment and the motorhome is leaking water again which means more work, which means it's off the road in a couple of weeks for quite some time. Cheers.

Great to see some more footage from you. I was at Clumber park last week and there are some nice trails there but not as well sign posted as Sherwood Pines. I was thinking about doing the blue trail myself and this has just made me more determined to make the trip. I thought Helen did really well despite getting a little sore towards the end. Look forward to your next adventure.

Hi Paul. We had no idea about the trails until we walked the dogs over to the maps. As I watched the video back it is slightly different than the first ride the day before. Then, we passed the site where our motorhome was but didn't didn't go passed it second time round and yet neither of us noticed. I also noticed the blue arrows changed to black and we never noticed that as well. But we made it back and clocked up 8.4 miles just short of the route distance. Really odd. Cheers.

Hi Derek, I went to Sherwood Pines today and did 2 runs of the blue trail. Really enjoyed it and got a bit of a workout at the same time. I will go again but next time I will try the red trail.🤢

Hello Phillip. Yes, we didn't get lost. Every bike ride should be way marked but of course half the fun with me is taking a wrong turn. It's been my signature for quite some time. Glad you enjoyed it. It makes it all worthwhile. Thanks.

Hi Mr. And Mrs. Taylor, you both remind me of robin Hood because you both spend so much time living off the grid by the way the last time I went to sherwood Forest, they'd put a barracade around Robin Hoods tree to protect it from been vanderlised.

Hah, well Rory, this isn't Sherwood Forest. It's Sherwood Pines, which is a bit further away. I know of the tree. A really old Oak tree I think with supports holding some branches up. That's what I could do with. I have trouble getting on the Cube. A real pain in my right hip. In other words, I'm having trouble getting my leg over - literally, over the saddle. Once on the bike, I have to try to stay on it until the end of the ride. Nice to hear off you. Cheers.

Hi Derek Nice to see you both out on the bikes again, I do hope you're both keeping well. I don't think I've ever road an official trail centre bike trail, it's quite rare for you also isn't it? Quite nice though, a little fast and bumpy on them fast descents though, I thought you and Helen may of come a Roy cropper at one point! Just on Helens back and sore bottom, She does look very low in the saddle, could she try moving the seat post up just a fraction and see how that feels? Just a thought. We've actually not spoke in a while so I'll give you a call in the next week or so. Lovely ride and cheers again for posting mate Daron

Hi Daron. How are you both? I've been telling Helen for years now that her seat is a tad too far down. But, believe it or not, we've recently been back up Scotland (like you do) and she has had her seat moved up in two stages. First a quarter of an inch and then half an inch. Her knee pain has slowly improved and she's finding it easier to pedal. Her backside was a bit sore as she hasn't ridden her bike for quite some time but we did about a hundred miles in Scotland and she was fine. And you're right, we've never gone on an official forest route. This route is a bluey and I was expecting a naked Maid Marion jumping out from behind a tree but of course, this is Sherwood Pines, not Sherwood Forest lol. It would have proved interesting though whether I'd fall off my bike in shock. In Glenmore early one morning, this time, Helen took the dogs out for a walk near Loch Morlich edge and recons there was a naked woman on the beach bit taking a dip. She asked me if I'd take them the day after so as to get an eye full but as I pointed out - I've seen it all affore. And besides, I'd rather stay in bed and listen to the kettle coming to the boil. Cheers.
