Grand day out mate. Thanks for the invite 👌. Looking forward to a lot more big rides out in the near future 👍🏻

We certainly will mate. The Fred Whitton is probably the next event where we will all be together. I know Scott’s doing it and I think Aky will be as well. Be hard or impossible to keep us together round there though

Just got the same bike a few weeks ago, but in red. And I like your comment, "It feels like the bike wants to go faster." I feel the same thing riding it.

@@CyclingwithRuss I had a Domane 4.0c, 2013 I'd been riding. The minute I got on that new Madone, PR after PR, total game changer.

Well done mate, how is the seat to handlebar relationship height wise, is it set up different from your domane?
@CyclingwithRuss4 ай бұрын
It’s different but not uncomfortable. Need to do a 100 mile hilly ride though to get a better understanding of the comfort level for me.

I believe everyone gets the new bike placebo effect.

There’s a element of that but this bikes still fast. Check my strava out. I’ve done over 500 miles now and most of the rides except for my commute as been decent average speed and picking PR’s up on segments I’ve performed loads
@bubby3724 ай бұрын
If you think the SL is fast you wouldn't believe how fast the SLR is. I leave my A- group in the dust on my SLR7. Fastest bike I've ever ridden.

Shaun who was in this. Video was on a SLR7 gen 7. He flys on that bike. Hoping next summer I can borrow one to try somewhere nice and hot 😉

I think you could have all hit the average speed you just went too hard at the beginning and paid for it later. Next time listen to the professional bonker I’ve loads of experience 🤣
@CyclingwithRuss4 ай бұрын
Really wish we had done 🙈. We could have easy hit the target as a group. We will have to arrange something soon but something better than that route 🙈
