I loved watching this. You capture the beauty of wide open spaces. Since it is so inefficient to push, I've fantisized about creating a shoulder harness rig that attaches to the stearing of my trike for pulling it through soft or slippery areas. One could walk in front with the trike following along. My only big journey was on pavement, so I never followed through with the idea. Happy trails!

This is the biggest problem I have with my trike, pushing it uphill or through sandy areas. Your idea isn't bad at all!

Check out the youtuber "Far Beyond Ordinary" and his solar-powered camper van built on a recumbent trike. I want to build a better version of that. Lighter, more gears, different kind of drivetrain, bigger panel space.
