It never ceases to amaze me how we are all so different doing the same sport. I'm 58 in a couple of weeks,weigh 57 kg and my best on the Grade is 11.11 at 266 FTP. And yet I stand the whole way. We are all so different, if I sat, I'd be lucky to manage 220w and yep, I can sprint and climb.

I think you are the first cyclist on YT that understands what FTP by Coggan really means. So many people have overinflated FTP becuase they forget what "functional" in the FTP really stands for.

@@volkervoit I agree. However I also think FTP nowadays is not that important anymore. Critical power and/or lactate thresholds are a better way to set your zones to imo.

Hi, ähnliche Werte kann ich im Stehen fahren (390 Watt für etwas über 15 Minuten). Aber im Sitzen ginge deutlich weniger. Machst Du Krafttraining oder sonst etwas Besonderes, um das zu erreichen? Im Moment mache ich nur Kniebeugen mit Eigengewicht und Stabiübungen. Vielen Dank!

Hey Volker! Ich wollte dich als Vielfahrer mal fragen, ob du irgendwann mal im Jahr mal eine größere Pause einlegst. Ich trainiere auch zwischen 16-20h und bin immer motiviert, aber lese immer mal, dass man für 2-4 Wochen im Jahr eine komplette Pause einlege sollte. Wie stehst du dazu?

I‘ve done 320 watts today as well… thats where my ftp test ended. I could do it 1 minute and you do it for 2h is just crazy
