Mike, I thought I had seen everything when you took me through Moab. But this is breathtaking. Thank you for the ride.

Ha, i used to drive that before it was four lane, and, before the tunnel under Loveland Pass. I used to pull a gooseneck horse stock trailer form Minnesota to Grand Junction, i had a Ford F250 with a 390 and a four speed, it was great I later started using the southern route, and have not driven though the new highway. Nice to see this.

There is a bike trail that runs through this canyon along the river and at times under the highway. At times it is on the old road that ran through this area before this divided highway. We were able to rent bikes for the ride. Took a lunch and enjoyed it at the east end, tables provided. Enjoy, not in winter, frozen lunch.

Dang, those are not pot holes those are crater holes... Lol... I always loved that driver on I-70 west of Denver. You know it's going to be construction zones from Golden to Grand Junction this spring.

Nice video . August 1985 we drove that stretch going west to California . Only one tunnel was open ,they were still building the other Portal . One direction of traffic was using the old road and the other direction was on the New higher Deck . It was about 1990 when I rode Amtrak ( Pioneer ) thru the Canyon , nice views . Thanx

I enjoyed the ride along. It’s a bit different to see what is almost home from your prospective. We live in Montrose.

So do we! But Montrose, Pennsylvania! We drove through this beautiful canyon several times in September, 2019 during a visit to this part of your beautiful state. Well worth the trip! PS: We've also been to Montrose, CO in the past!

That van did the merge correctly. You're supposed to use both lanes till the last second. It's called the zipper merge. It's the fastest and most efficient way of keeping traffic flowing.
@spikespa52084 жыл бұрын
Yeah the zipper merge is OK but, in my book he waited *way* too long to get up in front to merge. If the truck had been closer to the car in front there would have been a problem. He got away with it because the truck wasn't' tailgating. It's the responsibility of the vehicle merging to do it safely.

No if means keep both lanes full

Joseph Smith you seek attention by bad mouthing mike? Im not sure of your motive. No hate, he is not a bad driver. He is ballsy but i do believe he can drive. Would i drive a 80k rig like him...hell no. I would take my time. But im not Mike
@WhoBallCain4 жыл бұрын
Joseph Smith and to clarify you are completely right about the left lane law. Only left for passing. We could have a damn autobahn in this country if everyone could fucking understand that.
@WhoBallCain4 жыл бұрын
@Joseph Smith since i can't even agree with you then go fuck yourself. Just keep stirring the pot. It does fuck all for anybody.

2:37 There are two kinds of rocks (not varieties as in granite, quarts). You have your pet rock. Those rocks are used in the home, and the office to hold doors open also used on desk tops as paper weights. There have been instances where pet rocks have tried to commit suicide by jumping off a desk onto the floor. Thankfully this has resulted in a 0% success rate. The other kind of rock is the wild variety. Those are the ones that like to roll down mountains onto highways and any vehicles on the road and are extremely dangerous. Thankfully road engineers have discovered where these wild rocks like to hide and have erected road signs saying "FALLING ROCK" to warn the traveling public. Scientists have agreed that if you can tell the difference between a male and female turtle you would be able to tell the difference between a male and female rock.
