Ridley Scott is a genius. Only he can do a movie which has "real" elements (astronauts, journalists, NASA, plutonio) and make it seem like a fantasy movie.

Love Ridley - the man is a Master Film-Maker. (*I'm the biggest ALIEN fan on the planet - yeah, I Prometheus and Covenant were a bit lame but he still manages to impress with films like THE MARTIAN and the very underrated AMERICAN GANGSTER)

I spent 50 years as a group singer in the major Hollywood studios. One session I was working with fabulous composer Jerry Goldsmith on “Poltergeist” and I spoke with him briefly on a break. I told him how much I loved his score for “Alien” and he said he didn’t much care for Ridley Scott but he didn’t elaborate...LOL
