In het kader van het ORGEL IMPROVISATIE PROJECT 2022 nu de beurt aan de Titularis van de St. Joriskerk te Amersfoort, ‪@Riendonkersloot‬
Rien behoeft als improvisator en kerkmusicus en beiaarbespeler geen introductie.
Luistert u naar zijn meesterlijke improvisatie over 'Ik heb U lief, o mijn beminde (Liedboek 2013, nr 908).
Met dank aan de Johanneskerk Amersfoort voor het cadeau aan Willem van Twillert voor zijn 40 jaar dienstverband in 2019 als kerkmusicus.
Met dit bedrag kon dit project voor een belangrijk deel bekostigd worden.
RIEN DONKERSLOOT [1985] ontving eerste orgellessen van Arie van den Berg, Barendrecht.
Onder de leiding van Arjen Leistra behaalde Rien als amateur 1e , 2e en 3e prijzen op orgelconcoursen.
Aan Rotterdams Conservatorium behaalde Rien in 2006 Diploma 1e Fase cum laude en Diploma Kerkmuziek. hoofdvakdocent: Bas de Vroome.
Diploma 2e fase volgde in 2008 cum laude.
Rien volgde orgelcursussen bij M.Chapuis, Andres Cea Galan, H.Vogel, O. Latry, Z.Szathmary en Th. Trotter.
Sinds 2012 is hij organist van de St.-Joriskerk in Amersfoort.
Hij combineert deze functie met de organisten van de Laurentiuskerk in Mijnsheerenland, waar hij het monumentale Bätz-orgel bespeelt.

ORGEL GESCHIEDENIS
In 1845 bouwde Carl Friedrich August Naber (1796-1861) een orgel waarin delen van het voormalige instrument zijn verwerkt.
In 1903,1925, 1935: J.de Koff [Utrecht] verving meerdere registers.
RESTAURATIE
1969 Fa. De Koff herstelde of reconstrueerde de oorspronkelijke dispositie.
Op het Hoofdwerk werd een Scherp 3-4 st. toegevoegd.
Het orgel is in 1969 op een nieuwe galerij geplaatst aan de westzijde van de kerk.
Vanwege faillissement van de FA. de Koff voltooide de Fa. Flentrop de restauratie.
In 1995 is het orgel opnieuw gerestaureerd door de Fa. Flentrop.
Na restauratie van de kerk in 2011 bleek het orgel vervuild.
Het orgel kreeg in 2012 een schoonmaakbeurt en pijpwerk werd zonodig, gerepareerd.
Fa. De Jongh schilderde het orgel in de oorspronkelijke kleurstelling.

RIEN DONKERSLOOT [1985] received organ lessons from Arjen Leistra.
Then he studied organ at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
In June of 2006, he graduated cum laude with the first phase and diploma in Church music the principal subject teacher was Bas de Vroome.
He studied for the diploma 2nd phase with Ben van Oosten and Bas de Vroome. In June 2008 he graduated cum laude.
He took organ courses with M.Chapuis, H.Vogel, O.Latry, Z.Szathmary and Th.Trotter.
Since 2012 he is the organist of the St.-Joriskerk in Amersfoort.
He combines this function with the organists of the Laurentiuskerk in Mijnsheerenland, where he plays the monumental Bätz organ.

In 1845, Carl Friedrich August Naber (1796-1861) built a new organ incorporating parts of the former instrument.
1969 De Koff restored and reconstructed the original disposition.
The organ was placed in a new gallery on the west side of the church in 1969.
Due to the bankruptcy of the De Koff completed the Fa. Flentrop's restoration.
In 1995 and 2011 the organ was again restored by the Fa. Flentrop.

I never tire of listening and re-listening to this improvisation. I very much appreciate, Rien, the quality of your improvisations, whether in the North German baroque style or in the romantic style. With Sietze de Vries, you are one of the organists that I watch carefully on the internet. Unfortunately I live too far from the Netherlands to come regularly enough.
