"Were shooting for thrills... into the niiight!" Fight! Fight! My older brother bought the first cassette in the late 80's, and whatever my long haired older brother thought was cool, you best believe I copped it and worshipped it. Damn good to see you getting the recognition you deserve, and thanks Gibson for such a great program.

@@Sig721Tau Its a little awkward when only their CS and Vintage is up to snuff but at that price point, a third of it in fact, US PRS offers so much more. Finally, a great guitar player that's giving Mick Mars credit for being a influence. So many of us learned how to play learning early Motley songs.
@HaXaW5150
@HaXaW5150 4 жыл бұрын
@ May be that's true in the skill area, but Mick is far more Iconic. Therefore I would dare say Mick is better off than Traci, but I grew up listening to both and I'm glad to say both were a influence and I am better off as a player because of them.
4 жыл бұрын
@@HaXaW5150 I grew up listening to and learning from thrash metal guitarists, so neither were an influence on me at all - I was just pointing out that Tracii is technically better and has more chops. Mick has always been a simplistic bluesy player who couldn't shred like most 80's guitarists could.

@ Then would you compare Mick to, say, Billy Gibbons or Eric Clapton?
4 жыл бұрын
@@johndrake2729 No, I'd liken him more to 70's hard rock guitarists like Ace Frehley, Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy and Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, just not as good as any of those 3. And he's not even close to being as good of a heavy blues rock guitarist as Billy or Eric.

This is great..Tracii did a great job breaking these down for us. Rip n Tear and Never Enough are the only two LA Guns songs I've taken the time to learn and love playing. Never Enough is one of my all time favorite songs to play on guitar. My wife is sick of me playing that during warming up nearly every day. but for me it never gets old Now I can try to add a few more Guns songs now that Tracii has shown us how they're played. Thanks again..Also it was good to hear Tracii give mad respect to Mick and talk about respecting your bandmates.

Tone is spot on . Traci is my biggest inspiration for 30 plus years. He's so experienced and when he was young was as good a shredder as anyone. His blues riffs are sick. Ballad of Jane had very tasty solo. Traci is the reason I play guitar. Frfr just the riff in ballad of Jane is pure rock n roll.

Always liked his playing. Out of all the 80’s era acts, their latest couple of albums really stand out compared to others. Funny story, when Pantera was touring Reinventing the steel I had a kid offer me a 100 bucks for my ticket on my way into the show. I declined. It was Pantera and Dime! Gotta see that right? Well Pantera absolutely sucked that night. I was really wishing I’d taken that 100 bucks. As it turns out LA Guns was playing in a bar called Midnight Rodeo that same night. They held their show up until after Pantera was over and somebody outside the venue was offering free entry to Guns with a Pantera ticket stub. We went, LA Guns totally slayed onstage that night. They were 100 times better, more energetic and just damn good rock show.
