I love both of these guys. Erik is brave for standing his ground against Rick because of his ability to see perspectives most people dont. They were both right in the end. Erik and Rick should start a podcast and have Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino as the guests for the first episode, it would be complete chaos but funny as hell.
@JunkBondTrader2 жыл бұрын
lol brave? Rick was so wrong haha, of course Erik had to set him straight.
@DanLofy2 жыл бұрын
@@JunkBondTrader Do you really think when Rick responded to Erik through text his mindset was, "I'm going to word this as if I've watched every episode so that Erik misunderstands what Im saying and spoils the rest of the season for me" or do you think he was just responding to a text message in a friendly way and agreeing with Erik. Neither of them thought to deeply about the messages they were sending to eachother, they were both texting with intentions of having a friendly conversation about something they both enjoy. Point is they BOTH could have worded shit differently and the whole thing is not a big deal at all.

Why is making assumptions considered the norm? Why couldn't Erik ask for clarification? I don't think in terms of fault due to having ASD myself so I'm genuinely confused why Erik's assumption in the absence of all the information is considered perfectly acceptable but Rick expecting to be asked when things are not that clear is considered bringing problems on himself.
@josiah2332 жыл бұрын
💯. Also though, own your part when you do not explicitly disclose that you're not totally caught up on the latest episode after excitedly texting your friend to talk about it.
@Bubblestheghost2 жыл бұрын
@@nobodyjones1053 It’s because Rick texted Erik, after the episode aired and said “greatest season”. It goes both ways, Rick could have said “no spoilers!” And Erik could have said “are you caught up?”. But if someone reached out the night the episode aired, and said “greatest season”, wouldn’t you’d think they were referring to the latest episode?

Regardless, there should ALWAYS be a courtesy spoiler check to kick the convo off. If someone says to me "Man, I'm loving this season of "such and such", without hesitation, my immediate response would be "Oh, me too. What part are you at?" or "What episode?" I dunno. Something like that. That should be standard always.

if the person isnt caught up with all available episodes and doesnt want to get spoiled, they could just preface with "im not caught up or im an (2) episode(s) behind". with no context, a person is going to talk about available episodes if someone brings a show up. changing the narrative to "you assumed I was upset so Im the victim" is good chess though.
