Fun fact: The carnival scenes were filmed at the Los Angeles County Fair on the QT, as they didn't have permits to film. So for a couple of days in the early 1990s fairgoers were treated to the spectacle of Joe Estevez wandering, bellowing and pointing at random places like a schizophrenic. Another fun fact: The voice of Rollergator is none other than writer/producer/director/sadist Donald L. Jackson. If you're asking for his GPS coordinates for triangulation, I'm sorry to inform you that he died in 2003, and I won't be party to grave desecration. A final, sobering fact: According to IMDB, Joe Estevez has had 306 movie appearances. He may just be a sausage maker, but he's made a lot of sausage. A final, final fact (serious): According to IMDB Sandra Shuker's only other film credit was as a sound assistant on Night Eyes 4: Fatal Passion (1996). If the movie didn't kill you, this factoid might as well.

That and/or the director trying to hit on the female lead. Maybe. Used to know a local indie film team (they made horror and zombie "movies") and it was all just an elaborate plot of the director/team lead to try and hook up with the actresses. The director was a short but really scrawny guy named Steve, never liked him, but the one man team of makeup/effects/editing was a really cool guy
