Cool video. Thanks, definitely will try your advice on a bolt action rifle. My (hopefully) previous sling configuration was messing reloading and managing recoil (shame on me).

To be fair, two point can avoid the sling in the way of the mag well if you run your handguard point further up. I run to the outboard part of my stock, to the front of my rail. I still manage good tension, and makes rucking with it much more favorable. Two point over all is best. You can train it to be just like a single point without the dick slap that comes with it.

Hey dude, how do you pick which stock to run on your AR?
@KITGODCam9 ай бұрын
Run whatever you want. Stocks don’t make a real difference other than offering storage( which I’ve never seen anyone actually use) and sling mounting options. I use the magpul because I like the look.

The fact that big army still issues parade slings for dudes to go to work with is just barbaric. Maybe one day they'll catch up and give us conventional plebs an actual functional issued sling so dudes dont have to go out and buy one

I was in the Marines from 2016-2020, only time I had parade slings was boot camp during drill. For tables 1&2, Crucible, etc we had Vickers slings with the A2 stock adapters. Once I hit MCT and the fleet, they gave us these goofy ass 2 point/3 point slings.

@DocMitchell69 when I was in regular army my old company had bought a couple blue force gear slings per platoon through the battalion budget, however most everyone else was issued a parade sling through the arms room. I'm in the guard now, and it's the same unfortunate thing

It is really unit dependent and who is in charge of the supply room. I’m my NG infantry unit, we had only parade slings which was real dumb. Luckily I had my own sling from Active.

@KITGODCam Maybe widespread change will come with the M7. When the m110a1's dropped, they all had adjustable 2 point slings in their kit, cant exactly remember who they were from. Hopefully we see something similar, but who knows
