Hey Chris, excellent fault finding tutorial 👍 Thanks to your new camera angles I’m now obsessed by the fact you haven’t got round to Ames taping or filling and sanding all your gyproc joins. Surely a man of your talents could manage that?

@ I thought there was marks on my screen and tried to rub them off until I realised it was the the gyproc screws 😂

One of the things I love about your channel is how you demonstrate the many uses of the oscilloscope in diagnosing issues! Also you look way to young to have adult children! 😁

One benefit of having children in your late teens is that by the time they've grown up and moved out your middle-years are child free!

@@RiftAmps True, my mom had me at 19 and when I was in college my friends thought she was either my sister or my girlfriend... both thoughts are so creepy! 😆

The only problem with kids moving out is, they still remember where you live 😂😂😂😂😂

Not if you move house, change identity and fake the death of your former self. Works every time 👍

@ ahh yes, Best thing to do is wait till the kids go to school, then move, but don’t tell them where you’ve moved to 😂😂😂😂😂😂

The build of that Hiwatt was how it should be, I'm as impressed as you were in the workmanship.

It’s a real early xmas present to see the the Harry Joyce era Hiwatt, I could just sit and look at that amazingly well done wiring and those huge Partridge transformers all day long. My Dave Reeves/ Harry Joyce AP50 amplifier was amazing but like a fool I traded it in against an old Vox AC10 which seemed like a good idea at the time. Looking forward to seeing more of that great old amp in a future video. By the way I bought my Hiwatt AP50 brand new from Top Gear in Denmark Street for the princely sum of £50, not terribly expensive even in those far off days.

Nice shakedown on the 64 Custom Deluxe. Q- is the main board on that model fully eyelet? I've seen it described as a PCB with eyelets fitted.

I think the IEC socket would be less fiddly if it was rotated through 90 degrees. Is there a reason it's the way it is?

Question for you Chris. The vintage power wiring with the "death" cap, is it peculiar to Fender, or did others do it?

Id say those Mundorfs are slightlly superior to the F&Ts, great price as well...I actually sat like a SAD FOOL A/B'ing some caps the other day (bypass position) and man, those little Unicon axials sounded clearer in the bass than Jupiter reds/Nich fine golds/Atom/MOD.....Their worth a pop at price point..
